It's a bug. Switch quests via your journal, then walk around for a few seconds. Now try to save. For some reason, that fixes it for me.

There's also actually a hidden quick save feature: switch favourite profiles with the F keys. It autosaves the game.

I also tried already the trick of profile switch, and it didn't work. But I didn't used a shortcut, used the interface. So I'll try again tonight.

Watch out, if there's an enemy nearby (even if you can't see them)
or if the game is loading/processing heavily,
an auto-save may be over-ridden.
So moving away from the front line and giving it at least a couple of minutes (time trigger) may increase your chances.

I tried quest switch already and it didn't work, perhaps I didn't walk enough. I'll try again.

I tried doing this, since the trial, but it never works for me.
And I'm not on a Priority mission, i'm on Eos doing sidequests.
