Yeah, sure. I haven't installed from the disc in a decade. This is more a worst-case-scenario situation where EA goes out of business and drops the Origin service, since no one actually ever owns the games they buy. 😛
Yeah, that is a worst-case-scenario for all DRM Clients, and it already happened.
