I can think of many reasons why someone would wish to embark on a journey of no return(doesnt have to be in another galaxy). People having mid-life crisis who needs a purpose in life. Family doesnt necessarily equate happiness and fulfillment. so people that are not happy with an oppressive family situation. People who"bought the pitch" so to say. Opportunity, greed, running away/clean slate, a job... Same reasons why our ancestors left africa, travelled to europe, asia and beyond... only difference is scale and vehicle... reasons are the same...

Couch potatoes are needed in any society, we are the pinnacle of evolution and the reason why b-movies exist. We share our wisdom in a plethora of fora while demanding very little for our efforts.

Yea but there's only one couch in Andromeda, and Liam has it.

Why spend time here in the forum when there's something similar in real life? It may not be 2 million light-years away, but it shares the same thing: Permanent settlement on Mars. Off you go! :D
