"You are not allowed to access the online features of this game."

When I first tried out Andromeda, I gave the Trial a go. Then since I was low on money, I decided to use Origin Access to play the game for a month.

Before the 30 days were over I managed to purchase the game on sale. Now that the subscription has ended, I attempted to play some Multiplayer and now it seems like I no longer have access to any online features related to this game.

I've been browsing for the past few hours with little to no success. I contacted Origin Support twice and they told me to "reset the router" and gave me other useless steps that didn't help my case whatsoever. I tried to be clear as possible, but they seem to believe it's a "connection issue". It's not. My internet is fine. It explicitly says that I am not "allowed" to access any of these features, yet my account is working with no issues and I can still access ME3 and SWTOR.

What am I going to do now? I feel incredibly lost about this.

    Hey @Maulclaw97

I'm sorry to hear about your issue.

And I see that you've already tried to contact our live support. To me it seems like the expired trial version of the game from Origin Access is somehow blocking your online access 🤭 Unfortunately, I don't have the necessary tools to help you out with this issue ☹️ It can be done only by our game advisors.

For a few days, we were experiencing temporary issues with our chats and phones as well, so I'd like to apologise for the inconvenience caused by this. Everything should be working now. Can I suggest contacting our support one more time? Also, maybe the phone contact will turn out to be more resultful?

I'm getting this crap error but I have EA Play on Steam. Yesterday I decided to contact live chat since no thread had a solid solution or one relating to EA Play via Steam. I chatted with 2 different agents and so far and they've made me do numerous steps, even verify the purchase of my subscription, even though a previous case has proof from not even a month ago. I spent 2 and a half hours with the first one and 30 minutes with the second one, the second one just said the servers are having trouble.

Any updates, ideas, solutions, etc yet?

    Thanks

I am experiencing the same problem. Unfortunately, the Support Team has not been able to solve it for me. One helper actually found, as you have mentioned, a conflict with a previous Origin Access subscription, but apparently that was not the source of the issue in my case, or maybe not the only one, as the error persists. The person I have contacted today via the chat has recorded it as a bug. I hope the technical teams will be able to colve this.

    • Close EA app and Steam completely. (not just minimized in the tray.)
    •  Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box..
    •  Enter or copy and paste: "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (Without the quotes) > hit ENTER.
    • Delete the "License" folder.
    • Test.

    If this is not working:

    Please clear your temp files:

    • Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time to open the Run dialog box.
    • Into the new window, type or copy & paste:  "%temp%"  (Without the quotes.) > hit "ENTER"
    • Now your Windows Explorer should have brought you to the "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Local\\Temp" folder. > Delete all files and folders in it.
(If some files or folders can't be deleted, reboot and try again.)

    Then:

    • Go here and download "Revo Uninstaller. (The freeware version, Portable version works too.)
    • Run "Revo Uninstaller" > Andromeda.
    • At the end of the main uninstall, Revo will ask you which cleaning method you want to use. > Select "Advance" > Browse.
    • If "Remaining registration content found" is displayed > Select All > Delete > Next
    • When "Remaining Data and Folders" is displayed > Select All > Delete.
    • Restart the PC
    • Install Andromeda again.
    • Test.

If none of the above works and the error persists, you will need to contact EA Support again.
Only support can solve this error if the above solutions don't help.

Thank you very much for the very detailed advice. I tried both methods and neither worked for me. I will contact Support again. If I ever find a workaround, I will post it here just in case someone else encounters something similar.
