My game opens to a black screen and then instantly goes to white and then windows says the app isn't responding. I've repaired it and cleared my cache and it still doesn't work

We were able to replicate this issue and resolve it by disabling the EA app in-game overlay via
EA app -> Settings -> Applications -> In-Game Overlay
Please let me know if that resolves the issue for you as well.

Could you also let us know where you purchased MySims (Steam, EA app, EPIC Games Store)? Does this persist if you temporarily disable any antivirus/malware software you may be using?

After some extensive research last night, we were able to rectify this problem with graphics and processor driver updates. You can self automate this process using the following websites:

Intel: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html
I hope these updates are able to help some of you get back into the game.
Yes it goes white after I click! If I don't click, the game just doesn't pop up or the screen stays black. Unfortunately updating my drivers didn't work to fix it. Here's a video https://youtu.be/pzF2SlfjRZg

It goes white after I click. Then I get a window saying the program quit responding...do I want to close the game or wait for it to respond. I close it down.
