Black Box Era NFS Remakes

Hello everyone,

As a long time Need For Speed fan, I’ve been wondering why Electronic Arts have not remastered any of the Black Box era NFS games? such as NFS Underground, NFS Underground 2, NFS Most Wanted 2005, NFS Prostreet, NFS Carbon, etc. I also believe that if EA were to do remasters of these games, it would make them a lot of money. EA if you’re reading this, I think a lot of Need For Speed fans would be very grateful if you guys remastered the games I mentioned earlier. The Black Box era of Need For Speed is something that had a major impact on the lives and childhoods of so many players. In my opinion, the remasters of these games would sell very well.

    Hello PHOENIXONE976,

    This is one of the most frequently discussed topics on this forum, second only to game support. The main issue is the licensing surrounding older games, which would be a significant challenge for EA. Personally, I would love to see NFS Most Wanted (2005) remastered, but I’d even be satisfied if it were simply made available for purchase on digital marketplaces again.

    Hello Danisoff,

    I guess the licensing issue makes sense. I do agree that Most Wanted and some of the other games I mentioned should be resold digitally.  Kind of like what Xbox is doing with backwards compatibility.
