blackridge rivals
is anyone else having trouble with these races? i seem to have lost just as many as ive won and more often than not if you "just" win a race you gain less points than you lose if you "just" lose a ra...
About the 4500 limbo thing... I actually find it weird and statistically impossible. I reached 4200 mark 10 days ago, I've been playing continuously and never made it past 4375 (5th position, and players at pos 2-4 at thst time have been kicked). Now, may be I am bad, but it is impossible for all 100+ players with 4200sp to be equally bad at the same time. BRR seem rigged to me. Looks like your SP is a function of number of BRR races you play.
OK, I'm really getting over BRR, probably 'cos I don't get it! I'm now 631 races in and it's just not making any sense to me.
These and many more questions cannot be answered with any reasonable degree of certainty. We're left scratching our heads and debating over players' opinions. Why? What's the point of BRR then? Why are the rules of engagement not made clear up front by EA? Why all the mystery and deafening silence from the people who could actually answer these questions?
Five days ago, I managed to reach 4,245 SP... and within two days I lost my Level III rank (to level II) and dropped right down to 3,725 SP... I estimate that I lost 18 of 20 races, mostly due to bizarre acts of car madness, like shaving a car on the left side of the road, and mysteriously 'spawning' on the other side of the road facing the stars.
Yes, I make mistakes in races or could have raced better, but no more than previously (in fact I know I've reduced mistakes and improved technique), yet suddenly I'm being smoked by cars with 200SP less than me. What changed? I didn't have a stroke, or grow tentacles for thumbs, and I didn't change my gaming technique, but the game suddenly had it 'in for me'... it's like someone tied a tractor to my bumper and removed the steering wheel!
Bottom line... BRR doesn't make any sense to me. If I'm the only one who feels this way , then I should probably have my MENSA status revoked and book myself in for a brain scan.

Ok jony boy, lets clear a few things ,
1) You are not mentioned much on reddit , just 3-6 comments over a period of a week is pretty normal, since most people haven't faced as much ai as you faced. and some of them don't even know about the ai, . You got the 400 point lead with your 972pr laf back when people were just starting to enter 4k's , they will definitely be curious as to how one can be so consistent, and on reading this thread they come to know you did it with a 972pr laf.
@jin1995x I don't mind people talking about me. That's fine in my book.
However if people are talking about me as a cheater, bug abuser, or exploiter, then that's a different story.
The reason why I had a 400 point lead back then was I had a winning streak and the game given me AI ghost opponents after winning multiple races in a row. (Also for the fact that there's no one that has a higher SP than me)
@jin1995x wrote:
Plus people here have been mentioning you and saying you had a 900pr laf until very recent, on top of it you are vip one,who upgraded his laf so late . People do get more skeptical after reading older posts on this thread.
About my expired VIP Level 1...
Were you playing No Limits during 2015 Christmas time? If you were, then you must have participated in Lamborghini Accademia special event.
There was a delay of the special event and everyone was compensated with some Gold and 50 VIP points.
That's the reason why I even have an expired VIP Level 1.
Look at my screenshot below.
If it weren't for that, then my VIP Level would be 0.
I don't spend any real money on No Limits.
My Ferrari LaFerrari has been upgraded since my last screenshot.
Take a look below.

I don't think it's possible to race my ghost with my best times now...
I think the game overwrites my ghost if the game forces me to race on the same track I set my best time. And I think I may have done worse than before.
For example, scottfollett posted a screenshot of him beating me on Blackridge Channel (I think) and the time I had set was pathetic.
I even have a screenshot to prove I can set a better time than that. I must have messed up so badly to lose by over four seconds!

@jin1995x wrote:
I see you struggling between 5.08-5.2k since few days, which tells me you don't get as much ai now as you did earlier?
Oh, I still get AI ghost opponents after winning 3 Rivals races against real player ghost opponents.
It's just I had been messing up (or the game messes me up) that I'm losing some serious SP. 😬
@jin1995x wrote:
6) What i and kananX said recently was simply that you'd not have had as much of a lead as you had earlier, if it weren't for the x number of ai races you played, i've just played 2. That too in the 3900s and its no biggie to win that way.
Now it's not my fault the game gives me AI ghost opponents to race.
All I'm doing is playing Rivals races, winning (or losing) them, and...pretty much repeat.
I just click "Race" to do a Rivals race and the game gives me an AI ghost opponents. It's beyond my power to do anything about it.
@jin1995x wrote:
Btw what's the cap of losing? Like winning has a 60sp cap.
It depends on how many SP you have.
When I had around 4800 SP, the maximum amount of SP I had lost was 55.
Now, the maximum amount of SP I lose is 50.
Now for winning cap:
When I had around 4800 SP, the maximum amount of SP I had won was 55.
Now, there's no maximum amount of SP I can win. Since I've gone past 5100 SP, the amount of SP I've been winning is decreasing each time I win a race against an AI ghost opponent.
I bet I'll win no SP from beating an AI ghost opponent eventually. I'm waiting for that to happen. lol 😃
Even if I'm not gaining SP from winning against AI ghost opponents, I'm still going to do Blackridge Rivals races.
You can say I'm fearless. 👿

I apologize for that.

Uhh...no.
Just because I'm WAY up high in the Blackridge Rivals leaderboard, it doesn't mean I'm a "potential" cheater.
You ever heard of "Do your research before you speak" and "Never judge a book by its cover"?
What those mean is you'll never know who's a cheater and who's legit on the leaderboard until you actually race them. Because if you don't actually race them, you only can make guesses and that won't do any good.
I raced you and TudorSicaru before, but I didn't think you guys were cheaters when I got match-maked to race you guys for the first time.
Why?
Because I haven't raced you guys yet, so I don't call someone "cheater" until I know for sure.
Since you got the chance to race me, you now know I'm legit.
Back when the cheaters were flooding the top of the leaderboards, I thought they must have used Gold to get more Rivals tickets to get those high SP scores.
Everyone's innocent until proven guilty, but it's everyone's innocent until seen guilty in this case.
One race, I was match-maked with one from the top of the leaderboard. Before the race started, I see their cars already have nitrous engaged.
That was confirmation that they're cheaters.

@TudorSicaru Now you all can make guesses whether or not I'm a cheater, but you all won't know for sure unless you actually race me (like I said above).
This is all speculation, but speculations are useless.
Getting confirmation is the way to go and the only way to get that is to race me to find out.
Jin1995x has done that and gotten confirmation that I'm legit.
@TudorSicaru wrote:
Regarding the way you got the SP...I'm pretty much sure the AI oponents had a role. FYI, people at 4.3k-4.4k never get AI to play against...won 8-10 races in a row, never seen an AI, got 4-6SP from each race then lost 1 race -52 SP...that's how life is at 4.4k. Now idk, how it is for you, but as I've seen in your comment here, you meet an AI that rewards a big chunk of SP every 3 wins..so that's pretty obvious why it's such a big difference between you and 2nd place.
You're absolutely right.
AI ghost opponents played a big role in my high SP score.
However, it's a matter of endurance of winning numerous amount of races against real player ghost opponents and winning no SP to get to race an AI ghost opponent to win some SP.
Lose one race against a real player ghost opponent and I would have to win a few races against AI ghost opponents to get my SP back.
Win race against real player ghost opponent = 0 SP awarded
Win race against AI ghost opponent = 55 SP awarded (Currently 11 SP awarded and eventually 0 SP awarded)
@TudorSicaru wrote:
I'm not taking your credit for being on 1st place, you must be a good racer to maintain there, but you have to admit it's the game design (that gives you AI to race because the other players are too far behind) that allowed you such a feat.
Yea, I do admit it's the game design.
Blackridge Rivals definitely needs some work on the rewards system badly.
I want to gain SP from winning against real player ghost opponents, but that's not possible for me anymore. So I have to rely on the game to give me AI ghost opponents to race with.
Even if other players are so far behind, I should still get SP rewards from winning against real player ghost opponents no matter what.
@TudorSicaru wrote:
I got the feeling this will be different in the future, maybe when the actual BRR season starts, and we'll see a more balanced score 🙂
I got the feeling VIP players that have increased maximum Tournament tickets will have the increased maximum limit transferred to Blackridge Rivals maximum tickets.
For example, VIP Level 10 players that have a maximum of 10 Tournament tickets will have that limit transferred to Blackridge Rivals and making it a maximum of 10 Rivals tickets. That's a big advantage over free players that have a maximum of 5 Rivals tickets.
Even VIP players with a maximum of 6 Rivals tickets will have a big advantage over free players with a maximum of 5 Rivals tickets. (We all need to sleep!)
That kind of makes Blackridge Rivals pay2win for some people.
If that happens, then I would stop caring about Blackridge Rivals and challenge myself to using underdog cars.
For example, I would either be driving my Lamborghini Aventador or Pagani Huayra while everyone else is driving their Koenigsegg CCX and Ferrari LaFerrari.
I probably won't be able to be #1, but I would try to be in the Top 10 at least with my underdog cars.
Blackridge Rivals preseason may be the best time to be #1 because everyone has a maximum of 5 Rivals tickets (VIP and non-VIP) (Free players and paid players). IMO, that makes everything fair as paying doesn't give anyone any benefits in Blackridge Rivals. It all depends on the car you're driving and all cars could be acquired for free.
But that could all change with Tournaments being removed in the next update and transferring the maximum Tournament ticket limit to the maximum Rivals ticket limit.

But to be fair, you guys aren't so bad either when I raced you guys.
Sure I won the races, but you guys were behind me the whole race.
One mistake and I could have lost. Luckily, I didn't make any.
You guys gave me some fun during those races. You guys were better than what I call..."leaderboard wannabes" or "Icon wannabes" a.k.a. cheaters.
It's one thing to reach Icon rank and stop once you've reached it, but it's another thing to push yourself and keep racing despite reaching the Icon ranks. 😉
You guys seem like cool guys.
I want to have a friendly rivalry with you both. Set best times, earn bragging rights, have some fun!
I don't have the energy to deal with bitter rivalries after the ones I dealt with in NFS World.
I had bitter rivalries before with people when NFS World was still online and those weren't very pleasant experiences.
And what's funny is the people I had bitter rivalries with had worse driving than the people I had friendly rivalries with. lol

Here's something extra:
I did a race.
Icon vs. Icon
I came out victorous!
I noticed my opponent had less than 4500 SP, so they must have lost some races after reaching the rank.
Hi Jony,
You made a long post there lol 🙂 I might be checking this place as well from time to time :D but you know..it's hard to find free time..
About the actual season...even if vip player gets more tickets I'm pretty confident it won't make such a big difference (as in tournaments for example) since what matters is the quality of their gameplay. As long as a player wins the same % of his races and doesn't improve his driving skills, he won't go up in SP no matter how many tickets he'll spend 🙂
Those are my thoughts. Nice meeting you too 🙂
Great discussion among the best racers here, thanks all. I somewhat regret I don't have enough time and will to seriously compete in BRR. I usually do my 3-5 races to get a daily reward, sometimes not even that.
Woke up this morning, did 5 Blackridge Rivals races, and won all 5 of them.
Now here's something different about today from yesterday.
I didn't get an AI ghost opponent after winning 3 Rivals races against real player ghost opponents.
I'm like "That's weird, but whatevs..."
I did 2 Blackridge Rivals races when I got a maxed fuel notification.
I won one of the races, but I lost the other by my mistakes. My SP score dropped from 5231 to 5181.
Well, that was my wake-up call.
I think AI ghost opponents are removed from Blackridge Rivals now and they're my only source of gaining SP.
Now I'll only get no SP from winning and lose 50 SP from losing, making it impossible to gain the SP I had lost.
It's time for me to sit on the sidelines and watch the action unfold while drinking a cup of tea.

@WildeKnight07 1. Driving skills (obviously)
2. Using Nitrous at the right time and at the right places on a track
3. Taking ramps if it helps to take them
4. Dodging ramps if it's suicide to take them

WildeKnight07 wrote:What impact does PR have on racing performance? (We aren't shown what PR our opponent's car is on)
It depends.
Most of the time, increasing your PR can increase your chances of winning.
However, you'll have to adjust your reaction accordingly when approaching a turn.
To put this in a better perspective, I'll use an example.
Say there's two Koenigsegg CCXs with 709 PR and 999 PR.
The driver with the 709 PR CCX can corner much later due to its slower performance.
The driver with the 999 PR CCX has to corner much earlier due to its faster performance or they will collide onto a wall.
WildeKnight07 wrote:What impact does SP level have on racing performance? (We'd all love to know the answer to this question)
None.
A low or high SP score does NOT have any impact on racing performance.
Besides if a high SP score does have any effect on racing performance, then I would be winning Rivals races left and right continuously. (And get accused of cheating even more! XD)
WildeKnight07 wrote:What's the benefit (reward) for reaching the various levels up to Icon? (uuuh, why exactly are we doing this again?)
At the moment, for bragging rights.
People get to brag about being one of the best racers and elite players for reaching the Icon rank. That's what it says on "How to play" in Blackridge Rivals. 😉
I have that bragging right and jin1995x has that bragging right as well. Maybe TudorSicaru and scottfollett can get those bragging rights too. 🙂
However, I do see some "Icon wannabes" on the leaderboards...
When the preseason ends, then the rewards will be revealed.
@WildeKnight07 wrote:
What's the point of BRR then?
The reasons above.
1. Bragging rights (Reach Icon rank and you could go around and say "I'm one of the best racers and elite players in Blackridge City!!!" XD)
2. Rewards at the end

That may be true, but I look at the bigger picture.
Let's say two people have the same driving skills as each other. However, one person is a free player that has a maximum limit of 5 Rivals tickets while the other person is a paid player that has a maximum limit of 6 Rivals tickets.
The paid player will have one race extra over the free player and even having one race extra is a big advantage since they both have the same driving skills. The paid player would already be ahead of the free player when the new season just started.
On top of that, everyone needs to sleep. Everyone needs to get 8 hours of sleep. So when the free player and paid player wake up, the free player will have 5 Rivals tickets ready to be used while the paid player will have 6 Rivals tickets ready to be used. This repeats over, and over, and over again.
Now let's bring in VIP Level 10 player to the mix.
Both the free player and the VIP Level 10 player have the same driving skills as each other. Free player has a maximum limit of 5 Rivals tickets while VIP Level 10 player has a maximum limit of 10 Rivals tickets.
The VIP Level 10 player will have five races extra over the free player and five races extra is a REALLY BIG advantage!
Both players sleep for 8 hours. Both wake up and the free player will have 5 Rivals tickets ready to be used while the VIP Level 10 player will have 8 Rivals tickets to be used. Repeat, repeat.
This is already pay2win, but it gets a heck of a lot worse...
If a free player chooses to spend 60 Gold to refill Rivals tickets, they get 5 Rivals tickets refilled. If a VIP Level 10 player chooses to spend 60 Gold to refill Rivals tickets, they get 10 RIVALS TICKETS REFILLED!!!

@TheRealJony Well i was just explaining why others would think you are a cheater and why you shouldn't get so freaked out by it, since you are at the top, and the game has a flurry of hackers, they are bound to think you are hacking too when they don't know your full story, so they are bound to think that, whether it is correct or incorrect is entirely another thing.
@jin1995x Like I said from my previous post, people have to race me and then they'll find out that I'm the real deal.
If people haven't race me, then all they can do is guess, make assumptions, and that leads to misconceptions.
Since you and TudorSicaru now know I'm legit, that's one step closer to proving to everyone I'm legit.
And it's a very good thing too as the powers of word-of-mouth can do wonders in this situation.
It's like this:
No one will believe anything from someone if they're the only one saying they're not cheating.
But if that someone has other people behind their back covering for them, then it starts to become believable and it can't be denied as it's the truth.
Word-of-mouth is a very powerful tool. It can spread like a virus and help make a story more believable.
Now I know there are closed-minded people out there who will always think I'm a cheater despite being fed the truth. In that case, they would just be a lost cause.

I can do better here i guess , just attaching it.
I know this race name, track name, and everything.
It's Levitation Rush: Track is Blackridge Strip Chase and it's during the night.
By the way, I take the ramp after the first tunnel but I do avoid the ramps after the second tunnel. 😉
Now the sad part is I can't attempt to beat your time...
I don't get AI ghost opponents anymore, so it's impossible to recover any SP if I lost any races.
I'm just really disappointed. I want to play more Blackridge Rivals races even though I'm #1 and achieved Icon rank III, but that was when I knew I could get back any lost SP from losses by winning against AI ghost opponents.
Sigh. I'll just wait for the next Blackridge Rivals season to race more.
I don't want to throw my #1 spot and Icon rank III down the drain. Just 3 losses is enough for that to happen.

@scottfollett Alright, I know the race name, track name, and everything.

@jin1995x I can imagine it must be brutal to gain SP if you only got to race real player ghost opponents with a much lower SP score than you. And winning those races could award you with 1 SP each race (maybe even 0 SP).
I commend you, TudorSicaru, and anyone else except leaderboard wannabes or Icon wannabes that reached Icon rank I even though the game didn't give AI ghost opponents to race with.
Now I feel like I have to defend myself a little here.
It's not my fault the game gives me AI ghost opponents to race.
All I've been doing is the same as everyone else. And that is clicking "Race" to race in Blackridge Rivals.
Now the difference is the game (Yea, the game) gives me an AI ghost opponent while the game gives everyone else a real player ghost opponent. Also, add to the fact that nobody can choose the opponents we want to race in Blackridge Rivals.
Since the game gave me an AI ghost opponent, it's beyond my power to do anything about it. I couldn't avoid getting an AI ghost opponent.
If I chose to retire from racing the AI ghost opponent, I'll have my SP score deducted.
If I chose to force close the game and launch the game again, I'll have my SP score deducted AND I'll still have the same AI ghost opponent to race for the second time.
If the game gives me an AI ghost opponent, then the game gives me an AI ghost opponent. There's nothing I can do about it.
We now know that AI ghost opponents weren't intended to be in Blackridge Rivals. However, it would be wrong to punish me for playing the game how it's supposed to be played.
All I did was click "Race" to start a Blackridge Rivals race and I got an AI ghost opponent instead of a typical real player ghost opponent.
It would be the game's fault for giving me an AI ghost opponent.
The devs removed AI ghost opponents from Blackridge Rivals, but they kept me at #1 as the damage was already done. It's too late to change anything about it.
If I get banned by just playing the game how it's supposed to be played, then I would just leave everything about No Limits in my rear-view mirror and move on with my life.

- How does the game decide who I race against? (SP? PR? #Wins? #Losses? Someone's mood at the time?)
- How does the game calculate how many SP I win or lose? (E.g. (me) 4132 vs (ghost) 4109 LOST = -19SP..... (me) 4156 vs (ghost) 4179 LOST = -24SP)
- What skills are we to master to actually progress? (forget racing well, just get really good at avoiding ramps, obstacles, electronic stuns, traffic & roadblocks)
- What impact does PR have on racing performance? (We aren't shown what PR our opponent's car is on)
- What impact does SP level have on racing performance? (We'd all love to know the answer to this question)
- How does the game ensure all players are being 'tested' against the same criteria? (i.e consistency, fairness... the kinda things important in a competition)
- What's the benefit (reward) for reaching the various levels up to Icon? (uuuh, why exactly are we doing this again?)
@WildeKnight07 from the look of things the scoring follows the standard "swiss" style scoring that is used in a lot of sports for determining players rankings
with each race you start with a base amount of points at stake, lets says 30 points, so if both players have exactly the same SP score then the losing player loses 30 points and the winner gains 30 points
now if the SP scores of the 2 players are different then the base amount of 30 points is altered (this is to make things a little fairer) either up or down, so lets say for each 10 SP points difference between the 2 players the final amount is altered by 1 point
so if you are on say 4200 points and your opponent is on 4100 points there is a difference of 100 points which equates to 10 points being added or subtracted from the final amount
so if you were to lose the race you would lose 40 points (30 point base value + 10 points for losing to a lower rated player) and the other player would gain 40 points
if you were to win the race you would gain 20 points (30 point base value - 10 points for winning against a lower rated player) and the other player would only lose 20 points
not sure of the actual values, only used these numbers as an example
About the 5 vs 10 tickets... actually the number of tickets in BRR do not matter at all. I've been stuck at Champion-III for more than 12 days, I played about 150+ races in between and my SP fluctuated between 4460 and 3960. There were times where I, frustrated, bought 1 refill only to end up with lesser SP. For me at least the number of tickets does not matter.
Having said that, I bet they are going to change it. There was a time when you lost tournament points for losing races in tournaments, but they changed it to encourage people into spending more gold.
@richieluv76 great explanation, +1. But You you missed the most important question: How does the game decide who I race against? When I am close to reaching the next rank the game starts matching me against "good races" of -150 SP players repeatedly until I make a mistake.
@7ru3blu3 wrote:

@7ru3blu3 now thats the real question, i'm at a complete loss as to how the matching works and i think thats what is frustrating most of us, it just seems so random, especially when you take into account how well some of the lower ranked players are racing!
@richieluv76 You are right about the SP gain/loss and to be honest, it seems fair to me, although, I would add something to the formula. I would factor in difference in car's PR. I don't see it fair that a McLaren driver loses 50 sp for racing against a CCX, I'd give it a -30 or something like that, but never more, since the CCX is obviously superior (when almost maxed).
@TheRealJony You don't deserve a ban for playing the game man. It was developer's fault for what happened and there wasn't any way for you to know how it is for someone else. Anyway, even with AI, you have to drive good in order to not drop from 1st place. I bet that even if it wasn't for the AI players you would still be in 1st place, but the score would be closer...like 2nd place would be at 4620 and you at 4630 or something.
I personally enjoy BRR, although it could use a few improvements, overall it was a nice experience and I'm happy that I see EA/FM taking care of the hackers and being active in fixing issues with the game - like the AI removal and so on. I think that rating-based rankings are the most fair, since you are penalised for losing, it reflects the consistency in your gameplay and the better players' names will most of the time be found on the table. I struggled a while to get to icon, going back and forth between 4.3k-4.4k, but I finally managed to get to 4.5k then lost again then won again...and the circle repeats now. I don't mind it tho and I feel I have a lot of fun in this game, my purpose wasn't to become #1 since I'm obviously not the best, but I wanted to be on the table xD
I noticed one leaderboard wannabe or Icon wannabe that I recognize from a while ago is now banned again. Good riddance.

@TheRealJony No ones taking away your credit for being number one , good job mate, that wouldn't have been possible if you weren't so aggressive when everyone else was laid back, you get the credit for that.
@jin1995x When I saw that Blackridge Rivals currently has no paying advantages, I knew it was possible to be #1 on the leaderboard and reach all three Icon ranks without spending real money.
However, this was before we all realized that AI ghost opponents weren't supposed to be in Blackridge Rivals.
At first, I was both winning and losing races. 50% wins and 50% losses.
Since losses reduced my SP score more than wins increasing my SP score, I was going nowhere.
But with losses comes victory in the end.
I started to memorize the police roadblock setups, when ESF activates, which ramps to take or not to take, and etc. every time I lost (or won) races.
Pretty soon afterwards, I built a winning streak for myself. And since I built a winning streak, the game "rewarded" me an AI ghost opponent to race.
When I saw I got an AI ghost opponent for the first time, I thought in my mind "That's weird. Aren't I supposed to get a real player ghost opponent...? Oh whatevs."
I easily won against the AI ghost opponent and got 55 SP. I thought "Oh cool." in my mind.
Then I got real player ghost opponents to race three times in a row. Won those three races.
Afterwards, I got another AI ghost opponent to race. I thought "Why is the game giving me an AI ghost opponent when Blackridge Rivals is supposed to be racing real player ghost opponents...?"
The same as last time, I easily won against the AI ghost opponent and got 55 SP. I thought "Sweet. 55 SP. Yay!" in my mind.
Raced three real player ghost opponents. Won those three races.
Then I got another AI ghost opponent to race. That was when I came with the conclusion that the game rewards me an AI ghost opponent if I win three races against real player ghost opponents. (However, this can't be said for anybody else.)
That was how I was gaining so much SP over everyone.
I became #1 on the leaderboard and reached both Icon rank I and Icon rank II by building a huge winning streak from winning against real player ghost opponents and AI ghost opponents (whenever the game gives me them to race).
However, I was getting no SP from winning against real player ghost opponents so I had to rely on AI ghost opponents to gain more SP. (Remember that the game gives me AI ghost opponents)
Then I noticed someone was catching up to me rapidly. (You and TudorSicaru should know who this player is)
I thought this player must have used Gold to buy more Rivals tickets and win races against AI ghost opponents to have such a big increase in SP.
As I was #1 on the leaderboard and was the first one to reach Icon rank I and Icon rank II, I wasn't going to let that player reach Icon rank III before me.
So I did the unthinkable...I spent Gold to refill my Rivals tickets numerous times to reach Icon rank III before that player does.
For many of you, it would be the most riskiest thing (and stupidest thing) anyone would ever do. But I knew what I was doing, so my Gold was put to good use. 😉
I had won almost all of the races against real player ghost opponents and all of the races against AI ghost opponents with the Gold I spent. I only lost one race against a real player ghost opponent, but I was able to gain my SP back from winning two races against AI ghost opponents (but I had to win six races against real player ghost opponents first).
Eventually, I got 5100 SP and reached Icon rank III.
The player that was catching up to me quick turned out to be a cheater.
I felt like I had wasted my Gold on Rivals tickets to reach Icon rank III first...
Oh well. At least I reached it sooner than expected.
People think I'm a cheater because of my sudden humongous SP increase, but I spent Gold on Rivals tickets and winning against AI ghost opponents (after winning three real player ghost opponents) in reality. 😉
By the way, thanks for the comment. 🙂

The VIP level players that have a maximum limit of 6 or more Rivals tickets could happen in the next update when Tournaments are removed.
People paid real money to have a maximum limit of 6 or more Tournament tickets. Tournaments are going to be removed in the next update.
So where will the maximum limit of 6 or more Tournament tickets that people paid for go to?
There's two options:
1. Since Blackridge Rivals will be the new "Tournaments", the maximum limit of Tournament tickets will be transferred to the maximum limit of Rivals tickets.
2. The maximum limit of Tournament tickets disappears along with Tournaments.
The transfer of maximum limit of Tournament tickets is more likely to happen than the removal of it.
Since people paid real money for the maximum limit of Tournament tickets, people would RAGE if things they paid for gets removed from the game permanently.
Now, about the transfer of maximum limit of Tournament tickets turning Blackridge Rivals into pay2win:
Let's say two drivers have the same driving skill. However, one is a free player and the other is a paid player. While the free player has a maximum limit of 5 Rivals tickets, the paid player has a maximum of 6 Rivals tickets.
When the new season in Blackridge Rivals officially starts, the paid player would already have a big advantage over the free player as the paid player could be racing an opponent that awards a lot of SP.
Keep in mind the free player and paid player BOTH have the same driving skills.
Everyone needs to sleep. Everyone needs 8 hours of sleep.
When the free player wakes up, they would have 5 Rivals tickets ready to be used. When the paid player wakes up, they would have 6 Rivals tickets ready to be used. The paid player will have a big advantage over the free player once again in every morning as the paid player will always be able to do one race more than the free player.
With that extra race, the paid player could potentially earn a lot of SP from winning against a high SP opponent. (Remember that the free player and paid player both have the same driving skills)
It gets worse at VIP Level 10.
Once again, let's say the free player and VIP Level 10 player both have the same driving skills. The free player has a maximum limit of 5 Rivals tickets while the paid player has a maximum of 10 RIVALS TICKETS!!!
New season in Blackridge Rivals starts, the VIP Level 10 player will have a serious advantage over the free player. The VIP Level 10 player could potentially get high SP opponents and win a ton of SP with 5 extra Rivals tickets.
Both the free player and VIP Level 10 player have the same driving skills. (I'm repeating this so you guys remember to not take driving skills as a factor)
Both players sleep. Both players wake up. Free player has 5 Rivals tickets ready to be used while VIP Level 10 player has 8 Rivals tickets ready to be used.
With three extra races, the VIP Level 10 player could potentially earn a humongous amount of SP from winning against high SP opponents.
Both have the same driving skills.
The above is already pay2win, but it's gets even more worse.
Free players pay 60 Gold for a refill. They get 5 Rivals tickets refilled.
VIP Level 10 players pay 60 Gold for a refill. They get 10 Rivals tickets refilled.
The VIP Level 10 player has 5 Rivals tickets more than the free player, and those tickets could potentially give the VIP Level 10 player loads of SP rewards from high SP opponents.
And if the free player and VIP Level 10 player were to do a spamming refills contest, the VIP Level 10 player would always get 5 Rivals tickets more than the free player.
Both the free player and VIP Level 10 player have the same driving skills. Always remember this!

For something to be called pay2win, that something gives benefits to paying players that free players can't get their hands on.
Currently, all players (both free players and paid players) get a maximum of 5 Rivals tickets for each refill. Not pay2win.
Now if VIP players do get a maximum limit of 6-10 Rivals tickets for each refill, then it would be pay2win as it's impossible to get those maximum limits of Rivals tickets without spending real money.
Do not take driving skills as a factor. Both the free player and VIP player have the same driving skills.
If the free player chooses to refill, they get 5 Rivals tickets.
If the VIP player chooses to refill, they get 6-10 Rivals tickets. With 1-5 Rivals tickets more than the free player, the VIP player could potentially score huge SP from winning against big SP opponents with those extra Rivals tickets and creating a big gap of SP from the free player.

There's nothing wrong with pay2progressfaster, but there's a whole lot of wrong with pay2win.
Personally, I don't mind if VIP players do get a bigger maximum limit of Rivals tickets than free players.
As long as all cars are free for everyone, then I'm fine with anything.
I'm only saying all of this because there might be some people that will think bigger maximum limit of Rivals tickets is pay2win as VIP players could potentially score huge SP rewards from winning against high SP opponents with those 1-5 extra Rivals tickets.
NFS World was heavily pay2win.
The best cars in that game costed real money. It was impossible for free players to get their hands on the best cars.
Like all pay2win games, it died.
I don't have any vendetta with paid players. In fact, I want to thank paying players for spending real money in No Limits.
If it weren't for you paying lot, then No Limits would cease to exist and I wouldn't be able to play No Limits for free.
For that, I THANK YOU! I really mean it.
