Can I go back and do other challenges? (POSSIBLE SPOILERS)

Is there any way I can go back and do previous challenges without completing the hardest (Grand Tour) challenge?

I've managed to get to the last (?) challenge, where I have to complete the Grand Tour.  However, I'm just not at the point where I can complete that difficult Hot Pursuit.  It seems like I'm always getting to the last mile or so and then I get busted.

So, I would like to go back and do some of the other challenges at the previous levels, in order to get better and bank some more speed points to improve my cars.  However, in the "Career Overview", all those other challenges seem locked.  Can I not go back and do the other challenges?  I thought there were 60 levels and I'm at level 20, but I appear to be at the last race without a chance to go back and do previous, undone challenges.

Thanks.

  • You can go back and complete the speedlists after you complete the Grand Tour by entering the career overview in the safe house

this will also unlock the liveries for the cars

however if you turn off cloud storage and delete your saved file you can start the game again from the start

just remember to turn cloud storage back on b4 you exit the game to sync the new saves

Nevermind, I was wrong...where the heck do I delete this thing...

  • Thanks.  I'm having a lot of trouble with this Grand Tour race.  I seem to be doing fine and getting the car repaired all along the way, but I still end up getting busted, every time.  Seemingly, I go from full health to busted in one hit.

I was glad to see that the racer career was a lot more challenging than previous NFS games, but during the Grand Tour the cops seem to be over-powered.  And it's a shame that not being able to complete that race is keeping me from 2/3 of the challenges.   I'm really enjoying NFS Rivals, but there do seem to be a few balance issues.

Maybe I'll go back with my F12 Ferarri and try the Grand Tour again, this time using a jammer and an ESF.  I've tried just about all the other combinations of pursuit tech.

It's long since been a secret of NFS to go back to the car you can control best rather than what the game says is the fastest/best if you reach a point you can't seem to pass. Also often acceleration is more important than top-speed.

Pick a car with high durability.

Equip the ESF and Shockwave weapons. These are only used as a form of defence.

The ESF will counter any EMP lockons if you use it just before they hit. Use the shockwave to shove cops away if they box you in or start ramming you. The ESF can be used in a similar way.

Dont be afraid to brake/slow down if you have loads of cops ramming your car. You only need to complete Grand Tour not win it.
