HiyaI`m having this issue with the pc version of NFS Rivals where sometimes when I`m driving at high speeds my car stops completely and the road infront of me isn`t rendered. (Happens a lot on the bridgess). After a few seconds I have to stop the game in task manager or else my pc crashes. I also have the fps drop problem as well in certain areas but this happens sometimes when I`m in areas with a crisp 30fps. I have everything on low settings and this still happens. Is there any solutions and am I the only one having this issue?

For me this happens every half hour. And it's not just bridges. For me it happens anywhere, highway, forest, desert.Yes, I have a fast Lambo Aventador and routinely drive 200MPH+. But this major flaw has made the game impossible to play. It's much more than a minor annoyance. My current Speedlist requires 150,000 SP without stopping. I cannot advance because the game keeps crashing and killing all my points.This is a state-of-the-art i7 Win 7 PC with SSD and a new nVidia GTX 760 with 2 GIG DDR5 purchased just for this game (It works great on all other games including Crysis 3, Battlefield 4, NFS Most Wanted, Massn Effect 3 etc.) so don't blame hardware.Really disappointing to have this result after purchasing my most expensive game this year. Is there any fix for this. Can I lower my textures or something. Please offer any solution.

Sadly, no. The only thing to avoid this is to make a 180 handbrake turn. If you manage to stop before entering the non-rendered area it will load after a little while, however if you enter it in high speed your car will just get "airborne" and the texture will never load. I have the same issues since day one and the patches haven't adressed that at all.There are certain places on the map which have been referred to as "drop zones" for FPS. It's also a known problem which was improved with the last patch but it only did increase the fps by 10-15% overall which means it's not really noticable if you're not on a high-end pc and you're using the command line to play the game at 60fps (which still drops too much in order for it to be playable).

The problem is Ram accsess, the is an option in you Bios (Windows XP/Vista/7/8) called shadow ram this feture allows information to be kept on the ram when useing high demanding applications, it's use to recall information rather than load it again, The NFS game uses this to make loading timess faster but, it has an error of failing to get the texture updates correctly, this means that the road texture is on the Ram ready to be loaded but it actually stops it because of the shadow ram feature, if you turn it off, then the game will get its load from the Hardrive and store less of it on your Ram, If your system is useing an SSD then the game will be perfect, Just remember that when this feture is of you may find that high demanding games with take a longer time to load. Hope this works as it did for me, it helps to have 2 or more GB of Video Ram for this game

It's 2017 and the freezing still haunts me... No matter the .exe you use (32 or 64), no matter the system, the version of Windows, the video card, the drivers, the file system, the storage controller (AHCI, IDE or RAID), no matter the core count of your cpu, no matter the graphichs settings, the audio output... please, EA, take a serious look at this problem.

I Have this problem too, don t know why. I Try, when i see on the front nothing rendered to do a 180 turnout, but its the same on the another part...Need to go more slower ? -🙂)))Patch the game, because i think they need some more patches ..

Your game is garbage EA, you should be ashamed of yourself. EA at one time put out some very good titles, I remember at one time I was an EA fanboy, now, I hope you go bankrupt. A year with a bug so bad, the game just quits.... I'm fairly certain minecraft is hiring, I think the need for speed games may be a bit much for you. Maybe try some Indie games on steam and try to work your way back up to something, that you once were. A company that gives a darrn.

That is the sad thing, I looked up to EA when I was a kid ... when they gave a darn, only to see this happening, the entire Origin <poo> is just a ripoff, with every new game, the same.

Greetings everybody who is having this problem with this game. I bought it a few days ago and had same problems all over the place, but there is interesting thing I have found! Sometimes when I get stuck like all of you does in any other way it sometimes got out of that freeze and continue the game as normal, aprox time when it was getting back from freeze was from a few to about 20 seconds. Next thing is that those damn random disconnects that is happening with host migration and stuff... I though what if you DC, but something happens in server and it just hangs you in the game without proper reconnection and forces game to freeze. So what I done is simple: Block NFS Rivals in Windows Firewall from access to internet (how to do it google it). After some short testing everything looks working fine and random freezes gone for good (for now). Although I want all of you to reply here if it worked for you or not! Have a good day and I hope it will fix it for all of us.

With that you lose the "core" of the game and that is the online part, limiting or forcefully disabling a games function just to make it work is not a solution

Somewhat I agree, but... the core online experience for me personally was not fun at all. Mostly there is about 6 people playing in the same server with me. The most common thing you will get from them is that they only want to wreck you intentionally as Racers and avoid racing with you when you challenge them to "Head-On" race by just ignoring you or just driving they're own ways. As COPS yes they hunt you until they get bored of it or just can't keep up with you or even Bust you. As Cop you won't catch the majority of players properly because they abuse the repair system and will drive around the repair shop whole pursuit just to constantly fix they're car (never ending pursuit...) so there is no fun by trying to chase Players as COPS too mostly. AND constant host-migration processes is annoying. So I personally prefer single player exp then this online *. Thank you for reply tho.

It's 2018 end of January. The game is obviously updated. STILL CRASHES. You fffff idiots. Why woud you add a game to the Vault Origin Access if you haven't fixed it... I thought that it's some new problem but it seems that you just simply don't give a ffff. Bunch of morons, wasted money and just no words. I'm going back to Steam. TADA

Hey, I bought it yesterday and chose cop mode and it froze on the first training mission. What can I do? My mouse dissapears and the car is irresponsive to gas or reverse?!
