Career Restart
I was most of the way through the game's campaign (got/started the game in the evening of 30th November, and by morning on Sunday 3rd December I'd completed 80% of the campaign, and I worked most of the day Friday), when I decided to upgrade my Standard Edition to the Deluxe Edition, so I deleted my save and started over. I've now noticed that I'm not getting any shipments when I level up my rep. I still have the roll cards from my original save, so I'm guessing that I probably won't get any more shipments until I reach/exceed the level I was on in my first save.
I contacted EA support who said there's no option to reset your career progress once you've started it. I've got the digital edition of the game, so can't trade it in, but if there's no way to reset your data, then NFS Payback offers zero replay value. If I complete the game 100% and decide next year that I'd like to dust it off and give it another go (I've done this with many NFS titles, and I even dust off Underground 2 and the original NFS Most Wanted occasionally), then I wouldn't get any level up shipments at all.
To put this into perspective, for the price of the game that's very poor, especially in this day and age when games are coming out with 60+ hours of playing time, but as there's no way to reset your data properly, you can't get any more value from it by playing through it again, and you can complete the campaign in 30 (being generous) hours easily, much less if you just focus on the main missions. I racked up over 100 hours on Forza Horizon 3, which didn't cost 5 times as much as NFS Payback, if anything Payback should cost a lot less!
