Although my controller is connected, I'm still getting this message. What's even more annoying is that my controller works on the game but I can't seem to get the message to go away. I have searched everywhere but I can't seem to find anyone else with a similar problem. Does anyone know a fix? Thank you.

Can I check if you're connected wirelessly or with a cable? Also do you have any software for controllers on your PC? Are you using an official Xbox controller or something else?
If you do have any controller software(even official Xbox controller software), can you try disabling it, and see if it has an impact?
