Cop or No Cop .. ?!?!
Was wondering why the focus is mainly only on Racer Career and Customizations ? I loved and still play NFS Rivals simply because you can drive around and battle each other, Race each other or battle ...
If there's a cop side, racer won't see me for a time. Always enjoyed that more. But tbh Rivals was just bad. Racer shouldn't have any weapons and the cops only should have road blocks, helicopters and spike strips. Maybe we will see a DLC for Payback like the "Calling all units" for The Crew. But until now, you have to be satisfied with being a racer.
Agree man, thats why i allways loved the old NFS games from the 90s, because either the cops or the racers had silly weapons. Thats just so unrealisticly, and yes only the cops shoud use spikestrips. But i wish the spikes could work like they did in the 90s game and NFS HP2, you got arrested after you had driven 100 yards or something. Anyway you never now mayby we can play as a cop in the MP, if yes i may buy this game, if not i think i will just pass. Because i dont care about story gameplay, after you complete it then its just pointless continue on the SP mode.
Excetaly, that is what i dont like wih Criterions NFS games. But we also saw it a littlebit in Black Box NFS games too except from HP2, you could easliy escape even if you got hitten by a spikestrip. That is why it shoud not be pursuit brakers or something like that, mayby som kind of wrecking system. But the police should use pit manouvers like in the 90s games, try to force you too stop not wreck you if you gt my drift.

You can drive on flats, it makes it harder to go faster and control your car though. i think there should a balance between both, give you a chance to get away but it will extremely hard as you are handicapped by four flat tires, the cops will easily be able to surround you or pin you to a wall
I see your point, but at same time i liked that i was garanteed busted\ticked. If i driven into a spike, because then i know that it could be game over if i hit one. Thats why i dont like the system that has been in NFS since 2005, it easier too escape plus i dident like the bust system in that games. Plus i would love if we could get back the ticket system again, because that was both realistic but it also had its charm. It would also been cool if the cops could have too comments or cut scenes, when you or if you get caught.
I can see your point of view , But you have to remember that more and more new players are joining this NFS Family with each new game and they dont allways know what to do since day 1 , This is why my openion Ghost have toned down the cops in the last couple of games. Need For Speed is becoming more arcady and New comers friendly , Im sure we will see better cops in this game but dont expect them to be as hard as Most Wanted 05.
In the last game we saw the Prestige Challenges that were amazingly hard. I am sure we will see something like this coming back in Need For Speed Payback , So if you dont like easy missions you can jump into Prestige missions and do that all day long.
