Custom controller mapping on the CONSOLE version

Hey everyone, I wanted to address something that could potentially become a huge complaint from the community. On the CONSOLE version of NFS Payback, it's very important that we'll be allowed to customize the controller button mapping. (I'm not talking about a few different presets like NFS 2015 had. I'm talking about INDIVIDUAL mapping of every single button.) Each player has their own preference regarding which buttons should do certain things. For example, on an Xbox One controller, my preferred method of shifting in manual transmission is (X - downshift and B - upshift). I ask that the dev team please make this type of controller mapping customization a priority, as having this setup on CONSOLE, rather than just the PC version, is crucial for a lot of us. (I apologize in advance if this belongs in the feature suggestion thread. If so, I will take up my request there instead.) Thank you!

I'm so used to using down on the right stick to upshift, the fact that I have to play with it the other way was frustrating me so much that I'm playing with auto transmission at the moment. ☹️

Although my preferences are a little different (B to up shift and X to down shift), I too would like custom controller mapping for NFS Payback. It’s so unfortunate that we’re forced to choose between 2 unpopular presets. Game is completely unplayable for me until they fix it.

Not just console version , on a freaking pc too the manual shifting preset are no good , the one who came up with this preset needs to be fired because this person never plays racing games . for me always in ALL racing games shift up and down needs to be A and X

I actually wound up purchasing the PC version, as I was hoping there would be a better chance of customizing the controls. Turns out I was wrong. Regardless, I agree that we should be allowed to set up custom controls for BOTH PC AND CONSOLE.
