NFS Heat laggy cutscenes + intro

The cutscene from the intro is laggy, just like some of the story, which is not ok. The sound cuts out during those cutscenes. I think the game needs an optimization for RTX 3000 series (Mobile).

I have i5-11400H, RTX 3060 and 16gb RAM. I used the live support which did not help a lot. I did what the link I received said: changing the in-game settings, Nvidia control panel settings, no result. Why do I say it needs an optimization for RTX 3000 series? Because on my friend's laptop with i7-9750HF and GTX 1660ti, there's no laggy cutscene. Fix your game please.

  • Hey, @Leon232002  can you try a clean boot to see if any programs are messing with NEED FOR SPEED™ HEAT and turn off any overlay programs, such as Discord or Nvidia experience.

Can you add a Dxdiag so we can see what hardware and drivers you have?

Let me know if this works or not for you. 🙂

  • @EA_Atic Hello. What I already tried is :
    - clean boot
    - reinstalling Nvidia Drivers (Using DDU to uninstall them first)
    - disabling Discord and Nvidia Overlay
    - disabling Steam and Origin Overlay
    - making user.cfg file
    - changing Nvidia Control Panel settings to make sure RTX 3060 is being used
    - Connecting an External Display and disabling iGPU
    - reinstalling Windows 10 Pro 64bit
    - verifying game files
    - disabling Windows 10 game mode
    - disabling transparency effects

    Nvidia GPU driver 462.21
I have a MSI laptop with all drivers installed from the official site. I also tried installing the latest Nvidia update, but no result. The cutscenes still lag.

    CPU : Intel Core i5-11400H 2.70 GHz
    GPU : Nvidia RTX 3060 6gb
    RAM : 16 Gb
    SSD : 1 Tb

I have all C++ redistributables and I downloaded DirectX Runtime Web installer.

The Cpu is not fully used (50% usage). It's something about these pre rendered cutscenes which are laggy because my game runs very well when I race.
  • Me too, i have a rtx 3060, i5 12400f. The intro is laggy and the game often crashes. I just had my first BSOD on my pc while playing nfs heat.

  • Did you find a soluton?

hopefully yes, also, i just wanted to try the html feature, so this might be bold lol
  • I am sorry I can't be of any help. My PC has the same problems.

The cutscenes on Need for Speed Heat, do not play very smoothly, and that first one stutters badly, and the cop at the end looks like he's moving disjointedly at about two frames per second!

This opening cutscene also caused my 12400F i5 Processor to really heat up!

My Acer Desktop's CPU fans set to Auto, couldn't keep up with the CPU load in a quick enough time, and during the opening video hit 100 Celsius!

I had to manually set the fan rotation to 60% (2770 - 2790 RPM's) speed, to stop this game doing that.

Regardless of the terrible way Acer have implemented Fan control on there PO3-640 Desktops, this proves that the Need for Speed cutscenes, especially the opening one, have been coded to be heavily reliant on the CPU, almost ignoring the graphics card!

My NVidia GeForce RTX 3060 Titanium 8 GB Graphics card, should be bearing the weight of playing games not the CPU!

For a point of reference playing Cyberpunk 2077 with my fans on Auto during the Benchmark, even run repeatedly over the course of an hour, provided a consistent high of 101 FPS, and the CPU never gets much beyond 70 Celsius!

I didn't pay much for this game, but thanks to the immense stress and headaches this caused me, not to mention having to fully test my PC, I can say I wish I hadn't even heard of this game!

  • hello i have this problem to i have no problem in need for speed unbound but here get lag in cinamatic's please help how fix this problem

  • Guys, I might have found the solution. Control Panel -> Sound -> Right your playback device and goto properties -> Advanced tab -> Under signal enhancements, disable “enable Audio enhancements”. This fixed the heating problem as well as the lag to some extent. Another solution would be to disable windows sonic under the “spatial sound” tab. Also try running the application directly from steamapps- common- nfs exe (run as administrator). Avoid running it from steam.

  • I have the same exact problem that cut scenes in this game do not work. I have a 4070 card.  EA please fix this bug. The game seems to fail on newer graphics cards.
