DirectX Error
Edit: After 4 weeks I still cant run it, tried everything. Basically Wasted 60 euro buying this, especially since I can no longer refund because of the * return policy...
Hi, I've bought NFS Payback today and tried running it but mid-start-up it gives me a DirectX Error that I can't even read.
Edit: error message is: DirectX function "device -> CreateTexture2D (&texDesc, desc.subResourceCount != 0 ?reinterpret_cast<const D3D11_SUBRESOURCE_DATE*>(desc.sub.ResourceDate) : 0, &texture->m_texture2d)" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occured. ") GPU: "",Driver:38813. This error is usually cause by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers. Also, make sure you have a supported graphics card with at least 512MB.
So far I have tried:
- Reinstalling DirectX
- Clean boot
- Reinstalling Graphic Drivers and rebooting
- Trying to run the game in windowed, which didn't gave me the error but instead stopped loading where i'd usually get the error.
- As far as I know, nothing is overclocked.
- I checked the integrity of my windows updates/files
- Trying to alter the settings through both nvidia geforce and the actual game-files themselves (making it run in windowed mode)
- Closing the in-game origin overlay
- Closing the nvidia overlay
- Clean boot with everything (except the microsoft services) turned off, as well as my programs that launch on start.
- Reinstalling the game on a HDD with more space
- Reinstalling it on my SSD
- Verifying/Repairing game files
- Reinstalling/Repairing the VisualC++ files and directx.
- Installed the windows Media Feature Packs
- Trying older version of video drivers
- Making sure software is up to date
- Playing with one screen
- Connected screen with HDMI cable
Edit: Also found it my CPU usage goes to 95% during launch up until the point I get that error.
Edit #2: CPU actually goes up to 99% before it stops loading.
Edit #3: Actually found the directx error this time
