Nothing wrong with the drift in this game.
Choose the right parts, tune your car with the live setup and get some horsepower.
I easily get 3 stars with the Lancer X KS Edition (pre order bonus) with drift parts and 210 IP.
Amazing you say no problems with drifting...then if there is no problem why are there pages if complaints as about the incompetent drift abilities in this NFS Heat game.
Seriously dude many of us long time players like as in Day one of the very first NFS back in the 1990's are skilled players.
Many of us are not liking the new drift package in Heat game
I addressed the parts and performance in another post in this thread already.
Also, it didn't work!
Played and tried other adjusted settings got Zero results.
So my assessment is maybe you have another idea?

Really appreciate everyones input into this discussion i have created. It is clear that drifting and other gameplay mechanics are an issue here. Im really hoping that with this discussion we have created, the developers listen to us and make the neccessary changes soon.

For the most part, I have given up on doing the drift challenges. Occasionally I spec a car for drift and give it a try, only to do no better than getting 2 stars and getting frustrated. I have followed the tuning advice given in the drift threads and that allowed me to get up to 2 stars, but I just can't get it to work for me. I am either just spinning my wheels or losing control and going off course. Not sure if playing on a keyboard is part of the issue or not, but I just can't seem to get it down. I will give it a try now and then but my attempts are getting fewer and farther in between, which is sad because I will not be able to unlock two of the cars in the game.
It does could commenting on AWD car drifting as they are the only cars that respond as they should in regards to your stick commands. Every other car is just utter chaos and the live tune settings you put on to make getting three stars possible make no sense and would not be how you would tune a drift car. Mix matching parts is stupid across the board if it’s a drift part it should actually do what it says not completed make car act like your driving on ice and your going extreme 90 degree to opposite 90 degree drift completely through a course that’s not what is was in previous games. 2015 NFS drifting events and engine should not have been tweeked touched changed nothing ghost are morons and deserved to have * fired hope they sit unemployed forever.
