Force close after checking for updates

On my Android tablet, an Acer Iconia A1-810, Need for Speed Most Wanted force closes just after it checks for updates. I've reinstalled it just after factory resetting my tablet, and it still does it. Can anyone help?

Thank you!

It is most likely that the PowerVR SGX544 GPU that is in that device does not have the required 512MB of dedicated video memory.

    Minimum System Requirement:

    OS:Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) 32-Bit
Processor: 2 GHz Dual Core (Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHZ or Althon X2 2.7 GHz)
    Memory:2 GB
    Hard Drive: 20 GB
Graphics Card (AMD): DirectX 10.1 compatible with 512 MB RAM (ATI RADEON 3000, 4000, 5000 OR 6000 series, with ATI RADEON 3870 or higher performance)
Graphics Card (NVIDIA): DirectX 10.0 compatible with 512 MB RAM (NVIDIA GEFORCE 8, 9, 200, 300, 400 OR 500 series with NVIDIA GEFORCE 8800 GT or higher performance)
    Sound card: DirectX compatible
    Keyboard and Mouse

Thank you for the reply, but the system req you posted were for a PC, and I'm on an Android tablet.

I appreciate your time, still. 🙂

    Sorry about that.

Have you ever been able to play this game on that device?

What is your current OS version?

    Hi,

No, they are talking about logging into Google, and mine is that the game is force closing.  I've tried the basic troubleshooting tips a few times, no luck.

It simply will not let me play.  It starts up, puts the EA logo on the screen, tells me it's checking for updates, then the Android pop up that the app has closed, and it returns me to my home screen.

Please know that I say this respectfully: What I'm saying hasn't really been addressed.  My first response from you was based on PC system requirements after I said I was on Android, and the next suggestion was to check a thread about not logging into Google when the problem is force closing.

    Hi @Ningyo42,

If your problem is in no way similar to that of the other post I referred to, I am afraid that the problem lies on your device. All I can do for that is provide you with the basic troubleshooting steps that you have already tried.

For further steps, please contact a Game Advisor--they have the ability to go into deeper troubleshooting. In any case, I am sorry that I could not be of more help to you myself.

I do wish you a good weekend,

    --Tom
