FPS drops on gtx 970. Patch?

I really loved my time in NFS payback trial, enough to preorder but I do remember the fps drops now and then, wasnt enough to make me mad but I did notice them. I really like the game and bought deluxe. I never watched the fps in game, to me I would guess it was around 70-100 but the fps dips must've gone below 60 cause that is when I notice it in games, the gsync cant smooth it. I had no screen tearing and the textures of the game were 2017 to me. I will play this game on release no matter what but I hope they can find a fix for the fps drops, even the other big game assassin's creed has fps dips. 2017 is about puhing out big graphics that you cannot control, hehe

I have the same issue.

Started the game and played the first mission, then suddenly during the cutscene everthing started lagging. 

Went from 80 fps to 19-25, and the game was unplayable.

No matter the settings it was stuck on 19-25 fps.

GTX 1070, i7 4970k @4,7ghz, 16GB Ram, SSD.

All out of trial but can't wait for release, thanks for a patch. Will visit back tonight.

still got stutter and large fps drops with the patch, nothing changed

@EA_Andy Seems like a massive improvement on my setup, I've got a few hours left on my Origin Access trial so I'll try the Heist mission again later because that's what gave me a lot of problems before.  Loving that we can zoom out further on the map now 🙂

Main gameplay seems fine but the heist mission is still micro stuttering like crazy, I’ve got a video rendering for Youtube, I’ll post a link on here when it’s done.

95% of the game is completly smooth on 4k60fps

it's worse in the city part, there i got freezes

really like the game but no buy until it runs better (so never a buy, nfs 2015 got the same problems)
