Frame Rate Drops in NFS Most Wanted PC

I'm wondering if this is normal... my frame rate drops to the low 20s sometimes evecn 15 in certain scenes but usually stays around 25-35 and in some areas goes up to 60fps

Got to say, enough is enough. Not only is this game badly flawed, but we get no info regarding any possible fix. This is the last time I'll be wasting my money on Need For Speed games.
I'll have to think hard over the next while, but I don't think I'll bother with any EA game again.
Very disappointed!
