Frame Rate Drops in NFS Most Wanted PC

I'm wondering if this is normal... my frame rate drops to the low 20s sometimes evecn 15 in certain scenes but usually stays around 25-35 and in some areas goes up to 60fps

another thing................> why in the hell..........> do i need to do alot of research and detective like work to ALLOW MY mult threading CPU to go to town on a game (in other words games come with one core active, DEFAULT..........>............! This game is multiplatform. It was most likely designed first to work best on PS3 and Xbox 360 and then ported to work on PC - as are most multiplatform games. If you want a game that pushes your system you would be better off getting one that's exclusively designed for PC. The Witcher 2 for example.
Also, keep in mind that CPU core count varies from system to system. Designing a game for, say, 8 cores then trying to make it work with a 2-core CPU isn't practical.
I agree! The Witcher 2 is a very good racing game...
They should make game for 4 cpu. Everybody has quad core or i7 now.
Computer specific games other than boring strategic games are rare.
I meant in general, not just racing games. Project Cars then? The PC isn't the best platform for racing games unless you're interested in hardcore racing sims. Perhaps you should have bought a console instead of that quad core processor.
Also, Steam's hardware survey suggests that dual-core is more common than quad.
