Hi everyone, Need For Speed Heat is currently on sale on Steam. I've bought the game, but my G29 Logitech steering wheel is not getting recognised in the game anymore since a couple of days. It's being recognised as an Xbox Controller instead, with a wrong layout.Others in the Need For Speed Heat Steam discussions report the same issue with all types of wheels. Apparently this has been happening since the last EA App Update. Is there any help you can provide us with?

I just started having the same issue with Logitech G29. Everything was working fine until I had a brown out during gameplay (power flickered off and then quickly back on.) Ever since then the wheel isn't working properly. Steering hardly works, pedals are useless. A/X button is now mapped to X/Square button (xbox/playstation layout). Accelerate is mapped to L2. D pad does not work and when the wheel is plugged into pc, none of the keyboard buttons work properly either.The wheel works just fine with FS22 and FH5. But I cannot play NFS heat until this is fixed. I have not been able to find solutions to this problem that are not as old as 2022, and require downloading of 3rd party software, and a lot of troubleshooting, something I am particularly bad at.EA, you need to fix this. We did not pay top dollar for a game with wheel support that doesn't work with wheels.

Same issue. NFS had to update, then the wheel stopped working properly.

I have finally figured it out, thanks to a 4 year old comment thread on steam.First, I reinstalled GHUB. I'm not sure if this is what fixed it, or my next step."delete the PROFILEOPTIONS in \Documents\Need for Speed Heat\settings. (Had this issue with Xbox Controller not wanting to work with NFS after instant Bluescreen) Just keep in mind Onedrive if you have it active loves to mess with this games files for some weird reason. Also the game suffers from Dual Cloud because of Steam and then Origins Cloud I also recommend disabling Origins cloud for the game on the Origin client in the game properties." -from steam comment threadEA, you still need to fix this. It should not be up to the end user to have to diagnose and troubleshoot why their game is not working. A game should be plug and play, no ifs, ands, or buts. Find out why this happens in the first place and fix it so we don't have to.

All of my steam games (forza horizon 4, assetto corsa, beamng, carx, torque drift) are working properly using G29 with Ghub, except Nfs Heat. Nfs heat won't detect G29 using Ghub. When i downgraded my Ghub to older Logitech Gaming Software, Nfs heat detected my G29 and worked properly, but my other games won't work. EA should do something about it. I don't want to downgrade my Ghub to Logitech Gaming Software just to make Nfs heat working and make my other games not working.

MontytheCid, you need to download the older version of Logi and it will be fixed. It's awful that there's no support information telling us how to fix it. This method worked for me; It should be noted that this solution is for PC only, here's the link to the older program:Old program that solves the problem

I just got the game and I was looking forward to playing with the G29, but the game can't find my steering set. I'm having the same problem. I bought it on Steam, but it doesn't support it? ??

Not anymore it seems unfortunately.... I played it for years with my G29, and from what I've read from some of the comments, one of EA updates messed it all up.
