From what i found out, the reason of crashing is due to Autolog recommendations and speedwall bugged the moment you choose those events, apparently adding too much friends will "overload'' and crash those recommendations and speedwall. I fixed it by removing most of my friends until my speedwall were only 5 people and the issue is gone. Initially i have over 70+ friends in both pc and consoles.
You can try to decrease your amount of friends until it stop bugging, or remove all your friends that's the sure fire way to fix this issue.
p.s I am on PC as well
