Graphical bug i.e. disappearance of roads while playing Need For Speed.

Dear EA, I am an active user of your online gaming platform "Origin" and I am here to ensure you about a bug/glitch that I face during my game play of one of your latest releases "Need For Speed." Following are my account and game details:
*Username: ahnaf_ahmed
*Game version: Need For Speed Standard Edition

The bug that I face while playing my game is that sometimes when I am driving my car throughout the open world or while I am doing a race, the roads and the other graphical objects suddenly disappear causing me severe problems. My PC meets the minimum requirements for playing the game and here are my PC configuration:
*Processor: AMD FX-6100, 6 core, 3.3GHz at factory default settings.
*Graphics card: Sapphire R9 270x Vapor-X
*Power Supply Unit: Thermaltake 530W
*Hard drive: 1TB
*Main board: MSI 760GM P34 FX
*Monitor: Samsung S22D360. Full HD @1080p

It would be highly appreciated if you could give any solution to my problem. Apart from this particular bug, I am having a lot of fun playing this game and I would thank you for putting so much effort in listening to the community and improving the game.

I, therefore, hope and pray that you would kindly go through my report and get to a conclusion as soon as possible.

Thanking you.

*P.S.- I have attached a picture as a proof of the game bug.

  • Defrag your disk and try it again...

But it could be also caused cause your HDD so i suggest you to buy a SSD from a local shop and if it doesnt work you can return it back anyway..

uhm one thing mate... Whatever the problem you have... NEVER post your game CODE on a forum. Never post it ANYWHERE. Tech will NEVER ask you for a game code because they can SEE IT.
Now on to the matter. The problem with falling through in your case is because of your hard disk. This game is very very hungry for data updates and your hard disk is just not fast enough to give all the info on time and just like when you're on youtube watching a video... You watch it and suddenly you see "buffering". "buffering" is the you falling through the ground. Now maybe your HDD is not fast enough like i said or your HDD needs to be defragged. Remember full HDD is working significantly slower then half full HDD.
What i would suggest is get an SSD. I play NFS on my SSD and i never have encountered falling through. Now you may think "bro why should i get SSD for just one game it's a waste of money this shouldn't be happening" Well let me say one thing SSD turbo charges your whole system. No more you will wait an hour for windows to be ready to operate after logging into windows. No more will you have to sleep while waiting for a game to load. No more will you have micro stutters while playing games because of constant load from HDD which is slow as hell.
    The choice is yours mate.
PS: I have bought SSD solely for Diablo 3 and the difference is enormous. Now i cannot play a game on an HDD every game i play has to be on an SSD (I uninstall the game i'm no longer playing and swap it with an active game i'm currently playing and once i finish that game i uninstall it and put another one. I am simply swapping games on my SSD.). Also do not worry about life of an SSD. I have my SSD for 3 years now and guess what? I have 96% life left on it (wrote 11 TB of data on it so far). As long as you take proper care of an SSD by not downloading stuff on it and putting junk on it and wasting writes and only putting stuff that you are going to use (like system and games and programs that you use daily) it's gonna live very long and healthy.

Thanks for your help bro. I'll try getting a SSD as soon as possible. And as you've mentioned about not posting game code on any forum, I've edited my post and removed the game code. Thanks again!

Glad i could be of help. Trust me adding an SSD to your PC is like adding a turbocharger to your engine. "once you go turbo you can't go back" same goes for ssd "once you go SSD you can't go back". 🙂

Hi, please do mention If, after installing the SSD, you get this issue solved. I'm having the same issue and might upgrade to an SSD if it works. Thank you!

Sometimes when I'm driving, I come across empty spaces of the world. So empty that I can literally fall in them. What could this be?

We have a main topic about the issue, here:

Current solutions include: defragging HDD, closing background programs, upgrading HDD (to SSD) as also has been mentioned already in this topic. Be sure to check out the main thread for more options and the main discussion.

If you have any further questions then please post them in the main thread as well.. 🙂
