Help me I don't get the performance upgrading?

Help me I don't get the new engine upgrade system ?

After I saw the CUSTOMIZATIONS trailer I was like WHAT ??

did they mean that upgrading is more depending on luck. Or can we go and buy upgrades by ourselves?

    It's like every race or when you win, you get a random part if you like it or not but, if you don't got the parts you like you can go to the performance parts shop which are located around the map and buy the part you want.

    Let me be a little bit more clear about this.

    When you win a race in Payback you get a few cards to choose from (They are all random) , You choose one card and then all cards are revealed for you. That one card that you picked is now yours to apply to any car.

    But lets say you are looking for part X but in that race you didnt get that part , So now you can go to a parts shop and buy that wanted part insted of racing all day and trying to get that wanted part.

    Yes, that is right but, the stock changes at the performance shops so the part you want might not be there but, it could be at other shops which means you might have to drive to a few shops to get the part you want IF they have it also.

    Upgrades are two ways

    1.Win an event get a part

    2.Buy a part as you have enough cash to do so.

    Hope that makes it simple and to the point!
