I have a stragne problem with HUD because it's randomly turning off in multiplayer after I get to Meet Up Point. After that I can't open EasyDrive, menus and I can't see the Knockdown Screen (or Elimination, I don't know how it's called in English) when someone hits me.
HUD appears again only after I restar the game and it happens 40% of times, so it's a little irritating.
Oh... and it's a PC version.
(PC) I can often see the same that as soon as a speedlist event (challenge, race, etc.) is about to start (all ready) it may take a loooong while until it really starts and during that time the HUD disappears until the start message shows up. With "long" I mean 5-15 minutes - some may really think the game is blocked or something and probably kill the game app as there is no other way to go out at that point.
So far I have seen that it always started sooner or later but to be honest just hanging or crashing around for 15 minutes without any info what's going on is boring.
I wonder if this is due to issues with syncing up all players and if that depends on single players having connection/network issues.
HUD disappears when all players are in the set location of an event to start. However, if the sync is lost with one driver and some joins at the same time he is leaving (this is what i kind of figured out to be the problem) - the player joining will get the message that the event is under way and that he will be joined after the event is done.
However, for the other players the event never starts as the newly joined player is supposed to be at the event for it to start making the speed list get stuck. Eventually, when enough or selected players finally gives up and force quits the game you will get the HUD back.

This is a dev side thing, support can't help you with any gameplay issues.
So in other words, we can beg, scream, cry and nothing will be done about it like with muting voice chat and other stuff. This game is starting to suck even more. I know one thing for sure, I will never buy any EA game again, it's starting to be more frustrating than fun and I think most of people on this forum will agree.

I agree that the match making algorithm is rather aggressive to fill up events which is of course good to have mostly full "lobbies" / events but sometimes it really holds up the event as whenever a player leaves it adds some wait time in hope to fill the lobby again.
Interestingly I noticed that sometime late in the night (after 2am) the lobbies often start to die out which means players are leaving and nobody else is joining again until I'm alone (perfect time to make miles for mods unlocking 😕mileyvery-happy: ). I have to leave and join again to meet others.
However, because of that I assume that events are filled only regionally I mean e.g. Europe separately from the US because after 2am I would guess that US players should be joining.
