I dont think you know your audience at all
Over the years (since the 3d0) the soundtracks for these games have gotten worse and worse, this one reaches new levels of trash. what makes you think wasting money on garbage people like me (long time fans..) are going to turn off immediately is a good idea? i dont think 1/2 of it is even in english and the diversity level is nil. i cant even say what it sounds like you pulled it out of because youll ban me, but im guessing you hired carlos maza or somebody to come up with it.
I could also be wrong on my next point but i have never met anyone that cared about the story in these games. so why waste money on it? its like we pay for these games and you put all this nonsense in them we dont care about or like (except in anthems case where you basically SHOULD have had a story but really didnt..) in them that does nothing but make them cost more.
Kind of like the avatars and other characters. its a DRIVING game, i dont need to see my avatar outside the back of their head at all, much less waste god knows how much paying some hipster nerd to design tattoos that just make every character look like a junkie. being the contrarians kids who play video games are im sure somebody will disagree, but i dont care at all about clothes either, i would have bought a barbie doll, not a racing game if i wanted to play dress up.. and if you WERE trying to tap into the dress-up playing demographic why not simply make another sims game?
My point is we would probably have a 30$ game (or a 60$ game with twice the type of content we WANT) if you didnt waste tons of money on things people such as myself dont care about. i think the last nfs my friends and i had an absolute blast playing was most wanted 2012. since then they have just gotten less and less appealing. if you are going to continue this franchise (which seems pointless at this trajectory, since you seem to becoming more and more like test drive unlimited..) i suggest looking outside hollywood for inspiration, because it comes off as kind of pathetic. why not go back to burnout? or better yet make something along the lines of BLUR.. you know, something that DOESNT feel like the same thing over and over again with less and less creativity.
Yes I agree
The Storylines are surely not the selling point of NFS games!
In NFS HEAT the story is extremely short & frankly one of the worse I have played.
Shallow mined game characters and poorly written B-Side script monologues at best.
The graphic scenery and shader light effect are off-balance too.
Just Watch the sun and Moon how it casts light in the wrong directions at different hours within the game.
Let me also say the missing fixes for this game never really fully recovered either.
Examples of this are people losing cash after grinding for hours in races or losing their saved positions of advancement in the game. as I recall.
Another downside is a lot of nothing to really do once the short story line is done!
Well just adding a few more thoughts to your great post.
Have a great day.
