Issues with Full screen on PC while running Need For Speed Rivals

Question

For those having issue with this I found the problem in my case and wanted to share. I found that running any application that required an always on network cause the game to window regardless of the settings in the game. For me these programs were Google Talk, Google Hangeouts, TeamViewer and Skype. I did not test for Skype but assumed because the others had issue so would it.

One note, after you disable these types of applications I had to go into settings, disable full screen and save, enable it again and save and then shut down the game and restart before it would go into full screen mode. Hope this helps someone out, games suck in windows mode...;(

I should add that regardless of this fixing my issue with full screen mode the game still crashes with errors that are exclusive to poorly written game software. I would post that but I dont want to hear that it is my computer or bad drivers. As a software engineer I know what causes these errors and it is a program code issue that I am sure this team was aware of long before they released this software. Sad when greed takes priority over quality, but it is what it is and other than the server constantly resetting, booting everyone out and resetting everything this is a really fun game.

It would be great if EA would go back to the company they used to be and create games that worked out of the box, when we did not have to cripple along for months while they finished building the game and the network that supports it!

Goorat - I do not if you are referring to the very same issue mentioned in this thread (it sounds like it): [PC] - Black screen issue&nbsp; but, if so, the team has investigated. Please find below the conclusions:

Thanks for the detailed reports - The team has identified the issue, to be more specific this is occurring with a specific TV on DVI and HDMI connection with specific cards.

Thanks for the reply&nbsp;eanajat, no this is not the same issue I was having. My problem was that the game would not go full screen on my computer monitor and I still had the start button and the minimized and close icons on top. Even though in the settings it was set to full screen it still would not take up the full screen with these apps running.&nbsp;I did have an issue when I windowed away from the game to get to the desktop where the game would go black and I did have to restart it but that too was solved with the shut down of these apps.

thats some fix they did, a year on and still the same issue. install but will prob never play the game due to this issue. your company wanna be ashamed of its self
