Make collisions reasonable

would great to see two major issues fixed,

- if someone pushes from behind, you are done, your are turned 180/wrecked like a feather, no slowdown on their part.  Should be,

a) halfway difficult (at least as difficult and pushing a cars from standstill + gyroscope effects of the wheels)

b) slow them down somewhat which would further discourage. Especially when you have Regeras in the mix.

- if someone actively collides with you, 100% you are the one that is toast. What about them? If it were 50/50 chance, would lessen the smash cars attitude and initiating contact would be more of a gamble.

    I agree

we have the need for speed

not the need to collide each other

  • That, or they could just disable being able to crash into each other altogether.  That's what I honestly think at this point, since there's been instances where I've been in speedlists where every single person except me just wanted to crash each other out.  It's Need for Speed, not Need for Demolition Derbies.

  • I have to admit that i am also guilty at sometimes crashing into someone. I don't do it on purpose but i don't know some of the tracks or forgot about a sharp corner.
When i crash into someone rather hard, i will wait a bit and let him pass BUT alot of the times they smash into me like crazy.

I also noticed ALOT of people that have a mindset in this game.... ""I don't want to be last so i'll cheat my way forward"". They try the strangest manoeuvres and if they lose they quit.
They will even avoid checkpoints in order to crash into you.
And then there's me.... mostly last place because i drive too safe xD
  • Hey, unfortunately, you have those players in NFS that have to win at all cost or just be * at all cost.  There is not much one player can do about it except to try and repay the favor.

Your ideas could help, not sure how they would incorporate them thou.

Maybe an algorithm for the game to recognize G-force impacts from other vehicles and you could punish the player who hit you.  Having said player then respawn with you in the same location would help. They would gain nothing from hitting you off the road.

Of course, there would be those players that would just keep knocking you off the road.  Try to ignore them.
