Multiplayer Feedback

So far loving NFS Payback. I loved the story (albeit shaky thin voice acting), but hey, it's an Arcade racing game with a homage to Fast and Furious  over the top action featuring a similar style crew hell bent on revenge/vigilante's and saving their city. Sounds familiar right?

Anyway, all the nuances of the game aside, believe it or not it is much improved over NFS15. I hated always at night. The customization is simply better in my opinion (neon under chassis lighting), more cars, more vehicle parts and a better livery system. I also don't really care about the upgrading system in the game though having actual parts to buy and install would probably be better so you can physically tell the difference in both performance and sound (new exhaust etc..)

But I'm not here to talk about SP. I'm here to talk about the broken MP. And before I begin, I will preface that I'm just as guilty here at doing it so I'm admitting where this game definitely has flaws. It's no secret undoubtedly players have discovered Cheat Engine and have utilized it before in other games. Hopefully SP only. But I'm not so certain about any type of anti cheats or if Ghost Games/EA seem to care about this. I personally haven't used CE online to give myself unlimited boost etc, but I am seeing it online and honestly just takes the fun out of it.

Also something else that needs to be addressed is the Koeniggsegg Regera. It's broken. It's not even fun to race against. Do I own it? Yes. Have I absolutely dominated everyone in a casual speedlist with it every time I go online? Yes. It isn't fun. It's in its own category with its top speed of 250+. The other hypercars (P1, 918, AM Vulcan, Huyra etc) all else seem to top out around the 220-240 range max. Therefore in sprint races, especially the longer desert highway races that are more open, the Regera runs away, every single time....

Last but not least, add some other event types. MP racing limited to off-road and race class only tends to get boring. Add drag and drift in too. I understand the runner class probably wouldn't work since it wouldn't differentiate itself from a "regular" race, but to add some kind of asymmetrical PvP where one player tries to reach a destination and the other lobby members drive police cars using various equipment at their disposal (with limited uses of course) might be pretty fun.

Anyway, those are my thoughts on the game. I'm trying to be as objective as I can and bring what I feel are real issues up that probably require some attention. Otherwise, can't wait for more content and see you all out there in Fortune Valley!
