Multiplayer rank is going down in nfs payback PS4

I managed to get up to rank lvl 3 and needed 53 points to get to lvl 4 then my rank emblem turned red and everytime a speedlist ends now my points are getting subtracted from my level and now i am bac...

    hey man, in short you are not allowed to be second place in ranked otherwise you will only lose points from some point on.

    going back from rank 3 to 1 seems quite hard to me seeing that its relativly easy to get points there, did you get second or worse often ? if so it could be otherwhise its strange.

    this ramming thing is a big issue yes and even if the people don't intend to do so it will still happen quite often e.g in drift events first corner..

    up to rank4 sohuld be possible if you get 1-3 most of the time from that you are not allowed to get second.

    it depends on which ranks the other players have if or how much you lose, for you being rank3 you could win a few points against low ranked and lose them again in only 1 race being second against a low ranked.

    you can fix the problem by leaving if you lose, stupid but thats how it is and thats why everyone is doing it.

Okayi thought maybe that might be the issue but wasnt sure. I was playing with poor internet connection the day before and lost 3 or 4 whole speed lists because of lagging and the checkpoints wouldnt register as i drove through them, it was around then i noticed my emblem turn red and i started to lose rep
