My suggestions to making NFS No Limits great again

As of now, I quit playing NFS No Limits and breaking my almost 3 years of playing. Completely retired from the game due to plethora of problems. Blackridge Rivals Season 16 was my farewell season.

The game in its current state is very unbalanced in gameplay. The cheaters causing havoc in Blackridge Rivals doesn't help either.

Here are some of my suggestions on how to make the game fun and great again:

1. Getting rid of cheaters

This should be #1 on Firemonkeys priority list. No one likes to race cheaters. No one likes to lose against cheaters and have their efforts thwarted with massive SP loss.

I had raced against cheaters countless times in Blackridge Rivals and lost some massive SP due to their low SP score.

2. Making every car in game more accessible

Forget temporary blueprint replayables. I'm talking about permanent blueprint replayables for every single car in the game. That includes the most-sought blueprints for LaFerrari, P1, One:1, Regera, and Venom GT.

Currently free players (like me) have no chance of completing in Blackridge Rivals when the competition has Regeras that have the top speed advantage on some tracks like Dusthowler Run.

My best car currently as a free player is Ferrari LaFerrari and I would absolutely be destroyed by a player in a Regera on Dusthowler Run due to my car's top speed disadvantage.

3. Fixing Perfect Launch glitch

Sometimes when you get Perfect Launch and use it immediately, your nitrous stalls. This is completely detrimental to players as nitrous stalling can cause you to lose the race as some races have to be flawless against top players.

4. More visual upgrades for cars

There are people that love customizing their cars and showing them off in Blackridge Rivals. Some customization options that can be added are neons, headlight colours, custom license plates, custom vinyl / wrap editor, custom gauges, etc.

5. Custom skins to show in Blackridge Rivals

Currently, the Blackridge Rivals leaderboard is boring to look at IMO. With the introduction of custom skins, players can personalize their names and the leaderboard will be more "flashy". Some examples of custom skins are red custom skin, blue custom skin, dragon custom skin, Lunar New Year custom skin, Christmas custom skin, etc.

6. Removal of Tuning Points and Tuning Tools and replacing them with Driver Skill Point system

After completing Campaign, levels do not have any meaning aside from Fuel Refills and Gold. To give levels more meaning, driver skill point system should be added. Every time a player levels up, they gain one driver skill point. The points can be used on perks like increase top speed by 5%, increase acceleration by 10%, increase nitrous power by 20%, increase cash rewards by 50%, increase scrap rewards by 25%, etc. No Tuning Tools currency will be needed with Driver Skill Point system.

If Driver Skill Point system is implemented, players should be compensated depending on Mechanic Level and Tuning Tools at their disposal. Compensated with Gold or something.

NFS World had a Driver Skill Point system until May 2012.

These are some of my suggestions on how to make NFS No Limits great again. As in its current state, the game isn't all that great.

The game is littered with cheaters and is very unbalanced with heavy pay2win elements. These are what ultimately pushed me away from the game. I wouldn't recommend anyone playing this game in its current state.

I will still be here to help out people with problems about NFS No Limits. I may play again if the game improves some time in the future.

If you are still playing this cheater-infested and unbalanced game, then my hats off to you!

I know barely anyone comes to NFS No Limits Answers HQ, but I just felt like posting this.

If you are a lurker and are reading this, thank you for reading.

I stopped playing NO LIMITS quite a lot time ago too.

Adding the Real-Time Multiplayer (Online Multiplayer, similar to what it is done in RR3) would make play NO LIMTS again!

    I wholeheartedly agree!

I would definitely return to play No Limits if the game has live Multiplayer racing. Just like NFS World had.

There's a big difference between racing a real player live and racing a recorded run of a real player. The experiences just aren't the same.

  • Although i agree about that blueprints replayable thing but actually (accept it) if they do add permanent replayable events, no player would then plan to buy interesting packs for hypercars,I would love to see it though but it's most likely not possible but they actually gave offer for the cars like P1 here for us to show interest in buying stuff and since it was a must purchase for me(because I love McLaren's) i bought it and i m sure others who buy packs like these won't regret either

2nd since the Dayhunt/Nightfall update not all but some car prints are now available to buy in Kelly's chop shop(except hyper cars for now) so I won't say they don't give prints but they want us to actually spend money or gold's you grind to spend in the place we like, and since I heard about the Last season of BRR I m glad that I purchased that pack otherwise I would be stuck for the P1 prints forever, I agree on everything else you said @TheRealJony see you again in streets of NFSNL in near future bro 😉

I mentioned on my fourth point that there are people that love to customize their cars to their liking.

People would want to get certain customization items to show off their art work to others. If they have to spend real money to buy these certain customization items, then they may do so. It doesn't hurt the gameplay of the game when only visual appearances of cars are affected.

An example of a visual customization pack:

    1. Rainbow neon

    2. Rainbow custom license plate

    3. Rainbow vinyl / wrap

    Cost is 2,500 Gold

    * All these visual upgrades can be applied to any car indefinitely and infinitely installs.

You may not like this customization pack, but there are people that do like it and would buy it. And it doesn't hurt the game in any way.

Right now, you have the mindset of a pay2win player.

Someone who doesn't think money can be generated if the best cars aren't sold for real money or with microtransactions.

Of course Firemonkeys won't sell Hyper car blueprints for Scrap points when they can still generate some money from people that are competitive in Blackridge Rivals and have the pay2win mindset. 😞

I didn't buy the McLaren P1 bundle. I refuse to support microtransaction models that speed up game progression by months and years.

I have a lot of P1 blueprints to collect to reach 8 stars.

    I didn't said I was quitting forever.

I said from above I would come back if live Multiplayer racing was implemented into the game. 😛

  • Well that purchase I mentioned above didn't involved any Micro Transaction, just 2200 gold's that I grinded by playing and completing Daily challenges , incase I wasn't clear, and up until this point,I like to be honest, I have not purchased anything from NFSNL, still I am happy and I earn every special edition car ever released without spending my gold's on it, there are few exceptions but uuh let's not talk about that

I could had bought the McLaren P1 bundle as well. I have 7,000 something Gold at my disposal from playing the game, but I chose not to.

This bundle speeds up the game progression by months, so people that had 2,199 Gold or less before the offer expired were out of luck. This further pushes the gap between new and recent players AND old and paid players.

Gold is a microtransaction currency. You are able to get small increments of Gold daily, but you are NOT able to buy everything the game has to offer if you don't pay real money to buy Gold.

One good example is Koenigsegg Regera blueprints.

Even playing the game for one year and accumulating Gold for one year is NOT enough to buy every single blueprint for the Regera. You had to shell out real money to buy all the blueprints to compete for the top ranks in Blackridge Rivals.

The game giving you small amounts of Gold daily is just a way to fool you that the game isn't pay2win when it indeed is pay2win that playing the game and saving Gold for one year is NOT enough to buy everything the game offers (especially Regera blueprints).

It's not as obvious as NFS World (Speedboost wasn't given for free daily, so that was obvious pay2win), but it is still pay2win.

So did I before I quit.

The problem with this is you are stuck with cars at 5 or 6 stars that are unable to compete in Blackridge Rivals if you decide not to use Gold to buy all blueprints.

Good examples are Pagani Huayra BC and Lamborghini Aventador SV.

Someone with a maxed out Huayra BC and Aventador SV will do better than you when you're driving the original Huayra and Aventador simply because they have the "improved" versions of those cars that they spent Gold on.
