The following has a relatively low chance of working but is worth a shot:

Disconnect your secondary monitor, reboot and retry. Alternatively, make sure both monitors are running at the same resolution and refresh rate.

Disconnected the second monitor and rebooted. Still crashing.:/

      Yes, it's my main monitor. The driver wizard reported that I already had the best drivers installed, when I tried installing the ones on the homepage.

        I also tried running the game in compatible mode for windows 8. I am on windows 10.
