High Tom,
Thanks for your suggestion. All my Microsoft Visual C++ programms were repaired, where this option was available. It could also be done directly from the windows application 'Programms and parts'. Nevertheless, your suggestion did not have any effect. The dll flie is not missing. There a tens of this specific MSVCR100.dll file stored in the deeper layers of windows for all kind of programms. Unclear to me is, where in the NFS16 programm the MSVCR100.dll file should be stored, for NFS16.exe to find it. Strange thing is, that in another Origin game (Mass Effect2), i can find this .dll in Programm files (x86)/Origin games/Mass Effecten/Core. But NOT anywhere in the Need for Speed directory....
One way or the other....after something like 20 hours from my side in repairing, updating, upgrading to a new video card and following a hole bunch of suggestions from EA (Helpdesk)....my son of 14 years old got stuck with a fully handicapped game...and a disappointed father while not succeeding in helping him. Since such a lot problems were reported for these kind of computer games, my simple conclusion is that a regular Windows PC is not a very suitable platform to play games on. Too much could go wrong due to all kind of issues, probably caused by updates or non professional attempts from average users. I am awaiting a last attempt through a professional EA helpdesk department, as suggested after various chat sessions with the EA Helpdesk.
Kind regards,
Mario
