Well, your right 20 years and EA has a bottom line for cash profits.
The company has one of the best public relations when it comes to advertising a new game.
Then Delivery Day comes and the bottom falls out fast.
An example would be when NFS Heat came out and many people said they could not even get their game working.
Many people who spent the extra cash $80.00 for the maxed-out version said they did not get all their items.
Now many people who I know in these threads from the many conversations with them feel EA sold us a Dream idea.
However, Ghost Studios did not deliver the product the consumers were expecting on delivery day.
Then things only got worse even with the updates.
This game was plagued with a load of tech issues that gamers wanted to be fixed.
Sadly many in these threads didn't get the resolution they wanted and many just walked away.
Ghost studios got shut down.
Here's the proof their site is gone! 404 Error when going to their website now.

Looks like the future of this game from what I'm seeing looks to be uncertain in my humble opinion.
I was not impressed with the former two games before NFS Heat either.
2015 & Payback were not high-end products in my estimation for a number of logical reasons.
The sales of those two games were middle of the road.
Here Are EA's fiscal expenditures as a company for 2020 if interested.

Well, hope to talk more and have a great day.

Hold on, just saw this today :
EA bought Codemasters who run F1 team and Dirt, maybe some hope for NFS https://youtu.be/HbUTW2Dqnu0
Heck, even if they updated HEAT with a package for a fee I'd be willing to pay a small fee for it as long as guarantee to keep it patched if needed for a year.
I'm really much more hooked on HEAT than I was on World...just the fact of having no walls to ride and no juggernaughts makes it feel more real. I thought I had encountered a few cheaters back in the beginning, but it could be because I was suffering some slow internet one day or two.
Cheers!
- 5 years ago@RTR-Dangerrruss Hold on dude, just because EA bought Codemasters. That does not neccecarly mean they will work on NFS, remember they have Dirt Grid and F1 games. Thats probaly why EA bought them, so they can put their badge on F1 mayby on Dirt too. Plus lets not forget that CM owns a studio themself, and they hate EA for killing the NFS series with the FF style.

Notice I said maybe, not will. Still a good chance they'll make a new NFS or update HEAT which would be awesome, because quite honestly, HEAT is the best NFS so far and I've played them since the first.
Cheers!

realy the best eh maby i should try it, nice seein u around
- 5 years ago@BVBgamer88 CM owns EVO(Bizarre) and SMS(ex-Shift team) since SMS already put out a POS FF style game full of action scene while CM itself focus more on motorsport games like Dirt(CMR)/F1/Grid(TOCA).EVO(Bizarre) is the only chance for a 90s style NFS if they take over.(Bizarre did PGR and Driveclub in the past.Which is close to NFS only without cop chase)
- 5 years ago@GK3512 Yeah thats what i meant, because one guy from Bizarre he wasent a big fan. That EA was buying CM, since he hated that EA destroyed the original cannonball series. With the FF style thats why i hope CM, will be the second NFS team, but i doubt that is why EA bought them. So dont get me wrong i deffently agree with you, we know that EA are so greedy. They rather want too put their logo on F1 and Dirt mayby Grid too, so i have no expecations at all really.
