Need For Speed: Heat Polestar 1 Diecast Model

Hi All,

I recently tried to get a resolution from EA chat for this issue.  I ordered the Collectors Edition of Need For Sped Heat and as far as I can tell, will receive the Polestar 1 Diecast model Pre improvements made such as the added wing mirrors and other things so I will receive the version EA weren't happy with, which is fine that was highlighted in an email I received from Game UK with a statement from EA saying I would receive a new updated/refreshed model with the necessary changes and improvements made, however when I click the link to redeem my code and add proof of my purchase, it says the period for redeeming has expired, now I was going to lie down and accept that but why should I accept that when I have a statement and proof from EA saying categorically I would receive the new one when it was available but yet the chat can't help and the link has expired, that was never said to be the case in my email, nowhere have I seen I needed to order within a certain time to get the new one and I have spent nearly £100 on this and so expect what I have been told I will get as I think that is only fair, I don't think it fair people that spend £100 later than everyone else be discriminated for doing so by a link expiring and being shut off to us, I spent the exact same amount of money as everyone else for this.

Does anyone know if they have started sending out the updated version of the model the email said 6-8 months and as just about been that now.

I hope I can get some assistance on this as I don't see why me and many others should have to accept this, however if I'm making a mistake and am still going to get the updated version, I will take everything I said back.

  • Yeah in a nutshell, I would totally agree with you it shows in not only their games now but apparently the treatment of buyers of their products at a consumer level which I suppose has always happened suppose I'm seeing it for myself first hand now.  I hope nobody else thinks I'm being funny by my first post I would understand if it was a specific for people that purchased a certain version of the game and would even understand if it was during a certain time, which does seem to be the case however that was certainly not told to be the case to me or it was nowhere near clear so don't see why I should accept it but like you say with EA they don't care, doesn't matter how much i and many others don't accept things.

    Yeah they definitely don't care about their games or their players. I had almost 1 million dollars wiped from my account in Heat for no reason. And they still haven't done anything about it.

    couldn't agree more, the fact you've lost millions and they probably haven't listened to you as to why you should have your money back in game just goes to shoe their mentality.  I can't get away from the fact that their stupid link for the updated model has expired I mean why expire them in the first place??  And why trip peoples money from game when I know fine well they'll see it was earnt legit and even if it wasn't legit as long as its done in single player well it is our game that we've paid money for, they make them with glitches in our property therefore we should be allowed to exploit at will in single player or they could start and reimburse people for their faulty goods??  That sounds more than fair to me

    I had issues signing up to this when it originally opened, eventually got through to it via help with online chat and signed up.

    The original email stated that we'd be updated with the progress and receive updates on its manufacturing process, something which I was quite intrigued to learn more about, but sadly received absolutely nothing too.

    Hopefully someone at EA has an update on this but I'm not holding out for anything

    I have complained since launch about lots of *. Even the simplest of request they can fix in minutes, are still bugs in the game. For example an underglow not showing the right color on one side. Like how hard can that be to fix? They even added more underglows in the maintime.
  • Just an update on this, I recently received an updated model of the Polestar 1 today in the post. Has anyone else got theirs?
