Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered - No sound / Black Screen

The EA App is terrible, it ruins any gaming experience. In my case I'm playing "Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered" (Steam Version) and several times the game starts without sound or black screen...

    Hey @btrazzini 

    Apologies for the delay, can we try running in different Compatibility settings (enable running as admin). 

    If that does not help us, can we try deleting all EA app files from the following locations:

    • C:\ProgramData
    • C:\Users\[username]\AppData
    • Then clear the Steam download Cache after restart your machine
    • Once you are back up, launch Steam (only) as an admin and try running the game.

Before posting, I conducted extensive research on Reddit, YouTube, and Steam forums. The issue I'm reporting is very common, so much so that I took the care to perform a clean installation of Windows just to ensure that there is no external interference. Yes, the EA App is so bad that it behaves intermittently.

Here we go: I just formatted Windows from scratch and without using antivirus, installed Nvidia drivers, installed Steam, installed the EA APP, and started playing.

There will be times when I turn on the computer and can play smoothly, and there will be days when I turn on the computer and when I start the game through Steam (big picture mode or not), I need to keep using alt+tab until the sound and screen normalize.

There are more than 48 complaints on Steam alone about no sound. On Reddit, complaints about "no sound" are countless

Again, when the game is started, the EA App kicks in and often gets lost along the way! Yes, it's a PIECE OF GARBAGE.
