Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered

Whenever I try to do a race, I can't start it. It says the up arrow is the default key to start a race, but it isn't working. Please help! I am playing on PC.

    Have you also tried to hit the SHIFT key ?

    Have you tried to hit the "Home" or "Origin" key ?
