need for speed most wanted error 5003

For those who are interested, I opened a chat with EA support and this is the thread of our conversation regarding this issue.

TLDR: Someone has overlooked this game and it has either been taken down from the servers or certain files have been overwritten by mistake, they are currently working on a fix (supposedly) - thats my takeaway from the conversation anyway.
