The fix there did not work either, the box was not checked to begin with. I used different combinations of running Eaproxyinstall and Origin itself with the compatibility mode on and off and nothing changed after i tried the last fix.

10 years agoPlease start by doing a clean boot: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
Then try setting your Windows user account to Admin and run these setups as admin also: http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-do-i-run-a-program-or-a-game-as-an-administrator/
