Need for Speed: No Limits

When i play special events, the award money at the end of each game is not really adding up to my current cash amount. For example, my current cash amount is 28k. I played 1 game and the money award that i got is around 2k, but when i look at it, my cash amount is still 28k, only a hundred dollars different. I've noticed jt since it already occured more than once.
