Need for Speed Rivals - Black screen only with full screen
On startup Need for Speed Rivals is giving me a black screen only whilst full screened. Alt tabbing has it in a windowed screen where things begin to work properly, but any attempt to return to full screen gives the black screen back, but this time with some stuttering sound. Any suggestions? Already tried: Disabling additional monitor Running with administrator privilages Changing display resolution inside game (got there through windowed mode) Disabling Crossfire cards
Thanks to all the EA admins helping out with this issue, and big thanks to eanajat who is being so persistant in trying to help. It is good to know the issue is found and I know you will be working hard to solve the problem so very much looking forward to that. To those who are saying they want their money back etc, fair enough. However once I personaly realised it was an issue I could not solve myself I just played in windowed mode, which after the second race when I got immursed, I pretty much forgot about. What I am saying is it is still a great game, if you are a fan of racing games and the NFS franchise I would greatly advise either just playing in windowed mode or waiting for the fix if not being able to play fullscreen is a dealbreaker.
Thanks again to the staff and admins, really hope it does come out soon, as it is a pitty this issue is tarnishing a pretty brilliant game.

I have this issue as well with playing on full screen. Apart from that in windowed mode , I come across , slow world loads , sudden fps drops or slow motioned driving.
I have a 40" Samsung TV , on 1080p / 60p ( 60hz ) with 3D disabled.

I tested a differnet monitor today, it works fine on my old asus monitor with only dvi being used out of the graphics card, as soon as the card has a display port cable plugged in it screws up, also tested it with only the samsung monitor in and the same thing, on both 60htz and 120 htz. So its not a dual screen problem, DVI is fine, it seems to be with HDMI and DisplayPort, which seems inline with EA's findings, i don't have access to any other monitors to test though

I also have black screen issues. Can play in windowed mode..but that sux and I'll wait for a fix.
My set up is switching between 2 monitors (an LG TV and also an LG monitor), the TV is running from HDMI out and the monitor from DVI. Strangely this morning I was able to play full screen on my monitor, so I thought it had been fixed. On switching to my TV, the problem came back. Switching back to the monitor and the problem had come back there too!
EA, please update us as to the progress of this.
