Solved

Need for Speed Rivals cannot find game when playing on xbox one.

On launch day the Need for speed found a public game and logged in fine but it also booted me out. After that I have not been able to get into a public game. It says finding game and after 4 mins it goes into single player mode. I then put it into public mode and still wont find a game. It accesses servers just fine. I do have an open NAT and opened ports on my router. Other multiplayer games perform great. Any suggestions to be able to play multiplayer?

  • Make sure your connection is OPEN NAT.
in alldrive, it may take 2 or 3 tries to find a public game.
I set my xbox to stop turning the quick on, then power cycled it, once I did that, had no issues finding public games.

  • I think it was a wife issue, anyone I raced with yesterday all said they couldn't get into a public game.

It isn't 100% fixed just yet, it is still very very laggy, in a span of 5 minutes, was plagued by dropped connections and host migration issues. For a "next gen" system, it's sad.

I found a solution that has been working for me. When I load the game and it sits in the "finding game" screen causing me to slam my head against the wall, I found that loading another game (in my case usually COD) I wait for COD to fully load and then load need for speed again... This has worked 3 times now for me.... Good luck!
  • Has it been figured out yet. Because I still cant find a game and it is dec, 22, 2013

Ok. I just finished reading through everyone's post. I can't believe ea has not made contact with anyone on here about this. This is the last game I buy from them. Having the same problems where I can only play private. All other games work fine on xbox one(except for battlefield). I need to learn to research these games before I waste my money on them. Wish they would get this fixed.
  • No one has really updated because it is fixed. I haven't had a problem finding a game in more than a week.

Do you have an OPEN NAT type?
Have you tried power cycling your xb1? (turn off instant on, turn xbox off, wait till it loads, turn back instant on)
Are you sure you are applying the setting for alldrive by pressing Y after changing it to public?

Thanks for the tip....this is extremely annoying when all you want to do is play the game. Also if I woiuld have known you couldnt just do a two player session with a freind at the house I would have NEVER bought this game. I dont want to play 4 player online. A waste of my money.

I'm having this issue too. Is there really no fix? Maybe connected with all of the BF4 issues that EA is having?
