I can get online by doing the following: erase player data and stop the sync. That of course puts you as a beginner with nothing so that isn’t practical. Another way was deleting all my dlc packs and that worked. Then it didn’t so I reinstalled all my dlc packs and again I was able to get online and see others playing then it stopped working again. There has to be away and offline is not acceptable. Others are playing online when ever I get in so their servers are still on for it.
I use to wonder what others where doing to be able to play online but not since I found out what the issue was, and then found the only solution, which I will post below for others who also search for an answer.
**SOLUTION:
In order to load/play 100% crash/freeze free you must play offline, you can do this by disconnect your Xbox from the internet BEFORE starting the game. You can disconnect your Xbox from the internet a number of ways but the easiest is to go to your Xbox settings under the Xbox home screen, then under network disconnect internet. Unfortunately, this is currently the only way to start/load/play the game 100% crash/freeze free. NOTE: playing this way doesn't allow you to play with your friends/or strangers, but if you really want to play online with friends/stranger you can do so by starting the game offline, the once in your garage, reconnect your internet BUT just know that once you reconnect to the internet your game might still crash/freeze.
