I'm still having the problem where it locks up on the start screen while 'finding a game.' It just stops and takes the XBOX One X back to the home screen. I've tried everything on your list to no avail.

One thing that did work was playing the game from a different profile. I, however, don't want to have to start the game from the beginning on a different profile. I'd rather get whatever is causing the freezing fixed. My XBOX profile is midwestcloud.

Same issue here. I just keep clicking it and try to get into the game. After a handful of failed attempts it works eventually for me, although it is very time consuming and annoying as hell.
