7 years agoI downloaded the Free Play/Trial version, and I kept running into this issue. Go through intro, press “A”, Signing into EA Server, Finding Game to Join, and then Freeze/Crash.
Only after multiple attempts of trying to get in, does it sometimes work and let me in. But then sometimes it drops me out while I am in, something about “migrating host” issue or something. So I thought, well since this is a free version, maybe I need to buy the full version, so that maybe I would be the host and not run into this issue anymore. (Thinking this was similar to when I used to host Counter Strike way back in the day! Like 2002/2003 timeframe.) But needless to say, I was wrong and the issue still persists.

@Capt_Bones4u2 I'm having the exact same issue. Game glitches and crashes at "Finding a game to join"

All you have to do to play 100% crash/freeze free is to disconnect your Xbox from the internet and start the game and Voila! Now, if you really want to play online multiplayer, you can disconnect the internet from your Xbox and start the game, once your in your garage you can then reconnect your Xbox to the internet and find a multiplayer match ***Just keep in mind once you reconnect to the internet the game can still crash/freeze. Happy gaming! 🙂
