Ok here we are December 2020 plagued by the corona virus globally I'm going to do the unthinkable and download my copy of Need for speed Rivals again and attempt to play the game I paid for two f*#king years ago and fingers crossed I actually can. I see posts that go as far back as 2013 about this issue so if it's not fixed by now god dam!! I will never purchase another product from them.
Hey there! NFS Rivals was one of my favorite games growing up and around the release of the previous-gen of consoles (PS4, XB1), Rivals was the go-to game for me. Sadly, I played Rivals on my PS4 and have since switched to Xbox permanently. Like pretty much every user in this thread, NFS Rivals keeps crashing once I get to the menu (or in some instances the actual game session). I got a few hours of gameplay before I experienced any of these bugs, so it was really frustrating to see considering I finally found the game on Xbox's game pass. Anyway, I was wondering if the game worked for you or not and if there will be any patch to fix it (maybe not from EA, but maybe Xbox?). Hope all went well!

Hope all went well!@NickJP3011 I have been troubleshooting the game without EA help/support for over a year, with the help of players on here and some friends, and what I figure out is that the issue is with EA servers, and since this issue has been going on since the game first came out in 2013, and the lack of response/resolution from EA support, it is extremely unlikely that this will ever get fixed. However, there is a solution, in order to play 100% crash/freeze free you must play offline, you can do this by disconnect your Xbox from the internet BEFORE starting the game. You can disconnect your Xbox from the internet a number of ways but the easiest is to go to your Xbox settings under the Xbox home screen, then under network and disconnect internet. Unfortunately, that is currently the only way to play 100% crash/freeze free, and playing this way doesn't allow you to play with your friends/or strangers. Now if you really want to play online with friends/stranger you can do so by starting the game offline, the once your in your garage, reconnect your internet BUT just know that once you reconnect to the internet your game might still crash/freeze. Happy gaming! 🙂
