Xbox One: Go to Settings, then All Settings, then Network. Your NAT type will be under Current Network Status.
DELETE CLOUD SAVES
1. On Home, pull the right trigger, and then press A to open My games and apps.
2. Highlight the game, press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage game.
3. Scroll to the right, highlight the saved data for your gamertag under Saved Data, and then press A on your controller.
4. Choose Delete everywhere.
5. Restart ConsolePlease try these steps and if it does not work try reinstalling the game once.
The problem is caused by EA servers, this won't work.

I think this works in the same way that deleting the saved game off the internal does, it forces a resync of the saved game which does work (just not every time, but most the time).

Lol, again it's a problem with the EA servers, and has nothing to do with your saved games! If it happens to work after you deleted your saved games it's just a fluke, but it had nothing to do with deleting your saved games and re syncing etc..The game works for me some times also and I don't have to do anything but keep trying to restart the game for as long as it takes to connect to EA servers.
The game was freezing at the title screen before for me, but a few days ago it just started working again. I can race against other people from around the world now in public sessions. Although I did lose connection to the EA servers mid game yesterday. That could have been due to poor internet connection at the time though ?

It's possible it's due to poor internet but I doubt that's why you disconnected mid game, this has happen to me also were it would disconnect me from EA servers mid game, and it has happen to others from what I've read on other forums.
Well if anyone wants to add me on xbox and to try to play private session for rivals if I feel like it it or on it just message me my gt is LeeryUncles, also I did find out it only goes to 6 players so I kinda need to see who will stay in game or who won't stay for that long
Ok. That's interesting. The first time it worked for me a few days ago, I had a stable connection for the whole time that I was playing, until I personally manually logged out. So no problems at all during that whole session. The next time I logged in (which was the one I told you about initially) I lost the connection mid game. So like you said, it could be the servers. Although where I live I don't have stable internet (I'm only using wifi hotspot from my phone), so it could be that too. There was also some lag in the game as well, like pursuit tech not activating straight away with 1 or 2 second delay. Same with nitrous. I was still grateful to be able to get online anyway. I hope it works again for my future sessions. I wonder are EA trying to fix the server issues, because I haven't had the game that long (bought in the Need For Speed Ultimate Bundle for 20 Euros) and the first time it worked, but then all the times after that it froze on the title screen until only a few days ago when it started working again ?

Its part of the syncing process with the servers that causes it to crash which should be obvious because the offline method works fine.

Nah its just the server since it disconnects while in a match, no syncing is happening during that time
