Had this same problem when connecting to ea servers. If you go to xbox 1 settings/network select go offline, the game works fine. Why EA wouldn't put a patch out to stop connecting to servers that dont exist is beyond me
I bought it recently in the December sales on Xbox Live Store on the Xbox One. When I loaded it up for the first time I was able to sign in to the EA servers. I was able to play for a bit as well. The next day I came back I had the freezing problem at the title screen when EA was attempting to find a game online for me. Then I was brought back to the home screen. It's disappointing as I'm only getting half a game. Still, at least I can play offline with no problems.

Just got the digital version yesterday (complete game and bundle)for my son and i to play .same problem it freezes at loading screen un installed and reinstalled 2 times and still the same issue ...i cant believe Microsoft would allow them to sell a game that doesn't even work. Someone will be held responsible until i get my money back or its fixed either EA or Microsoft. To take peoples hard earn money and not to provide to services or give them a working item that they payed for is a scam and or fraud.

This does nothing since you do not need an EA account to play, and even if you had an EA account it's not connected to your Xbox one account, so again it would do nothing.

This is not a solution since we cannot play online multiplayer if we have no online connection to the network.

EA will never fix it as , and if you try and contact support they will just blame it on your internet connection/modem/router etc.., and they will try and make you change the port # on your xbox but that does nothing since the issue is with their servers, and don't hold your breath on it ever getting fixed it's an old game, old servers, and they don't care about fixing those. MY suggestion to you is request a refund back from Microsoft since it hasn't been that long since you bought the game.
Why just smart talk them to fix it or you wil boycott there games and every other players will follow like the bus boycott back in the 1900s

Better yet, i think a class action lawsuit!
Yea that has happen before like at the developers for fallout 76
- Anonymous7 years agoI had this problem too, the only solution was to login to my ea account on my pc which required resetting my password (I forgot it). The game requires an EA account and it must be in good standing (ie not expired). 2 minutes after logging into the account after resetting the PW and the game loaded for the first time. Please note this is a brand new in the box one S I setup hours ago and purchased the digital copy of this game b/c it was on sale.
