Hello! I have some questions regarding the making of a new Shift game in the NFS saga, it would be great if you do.
Also, I have some suggestions, as I really enjoy both Shift games, and as I see some minor differences, I've come to realize that the 3rd game of the series could be a mixture of my favorite features. For example, I like the way the first Shift game lets you have your own Driver Profile, and level up in both Precision and Aggression manners. And I like that you are able to reach various levels, but in Shift 2 you can only reach level 20. Also, I like how yo could make more money in Shift 1, for example, when I do a 1 lap race, I get $40,000, and it's a lot more difficult to get money in the sequel. From the second game, what I like the most is the new performance upgrades added, involving engine swaps and turbo add-ons, also I like the way you can create the color of your car, although I rather have more options. Another aspect I enjoy from Shift 2 is that you don't have a limited garage, that's pretty cool, also you can earn cars. And another thing I like is that every car can be Works -converted. You should be able to get ALL you money back when you sell a car, as in the first Shift game, however. Overall, I like the gameplay, the story line, all race modes like Drift, Muscle, Retro, Drag, Works, everithing, and I like in general how both games are made, a lot. But I have some suggestions to make a possible new game for the great NFS series, Shift 3, the best of them all.
To begin with, I'd like to keep the best of both worlds, some of those things I mentioned earlier. Then, something everybody loves and always will want as much as possible: MORE CARS. For example, my favorite cars in the world, as you did in Rivals (even though I haven't been able to play it) I would love to see Ferrari's in the game, like the Enzo, F40, F355, F360, F50, LaFerrari, FF, 599GTO, GTB, some classics as the 250GTO, or the California, some race cars as the FXX, and my favorite car, the F430. There could also be some variations of those and other models, and it would be great if all of this cars were able to me modified, even to Works on some of them.. Also, it would be great to see more Lamborghini's, like the Aventador, Huracan, Murcielago, Gallardo, Diablo, Countach, Miura, Reventon, and some variations of those models, too. The same could apply to a lot of cars, so I decided to make a list.
There could be more of:
Maserati
Jaguar
BMW (like the M4)
Bentley
McLaren
Aston Martin
Mercedes Benz
Porsche (like some classics too)
Cadillac
Koenigsegg
Datsun
Saleen
Shelby
*maybe* Rolls Royce and Maybach, why not? Haha
Tesla
Mini
Hennessey
Subaru (please include the hatchback Impreza)
Volvo
And some classics live Austin Hayley, Plymouth, Lancia, Fiat, etc.
I also wanted to be very specific in this suggestion, I would love to see at least one of each generation of these cars: MUSTANG, CAMARO and CORVETTE.
Then, I thought of another great idea you could take into consideration, you can add more race modes like Rally, Drag (without DLC's) and truck races.
For this, i have come with the idea of making packages, for exapmple, take the Subaru Impreza WRX STI. once you have completely modified it, you could choose between 3 packages: WORKS, RALLY and DRAG. I wouldn't make "Drag" available for this specific vehicle, but another example could be the Ford Mustang, you can choose between all three packages, or for the new Corvette Stingray, you could be able to choose Works and Drag. I would totally love to see that idea in a future game.
Next, for the Trucks race modes, you could add these vehicles:
SUV'S like:
Ford
Chevrolet
Nissan
Honda
Land Rover
Mazda
Chrysler
BMW
Audi
Mercedes Benz
HUMMER
Jeep
and so much more, even some Crossovers and Pick-ups.
Another advice/suggestion I have for you is: VINYLS
I think it could be very useful to have more vinyl options, for example STRIPE PRESETS, MANUFACTURER PRESETS, and some other types of vinyls you can come up with would be awesome. Also, if you make the option of copy and paste available for the vinyls, as well as the "copy on the other side" option there will be a great customization bonus. Something i find very annoying when applying my own livery, is how difficult it is to match the size of my vinyls, for example when making race lines. A solution could be to add numbers for the scale, as you have in color. It could go from -100, to 0, again to 100 or something like that, so you are able to match the size in both large and wide.
Last but not least, it would be awesome to be able to customize your car something similar to NFS Underground 2, like body kits, spoilers, wings, scoops, hoods, skirts, and tires as well. That addition would make every NFS fan the happiest gamer on earth, that´s for sure.
Thanks a lot for your time, and for all those great NFS games you have gave us over the years, the best franchise ever. KEEP IT UP and really THANK YOU.
Sincerely yours, Aldo
