NFS HEAT - Crashing Xbox Series X (affecting SSD/other games?)

Had my Series X for several months now and since I've had issues with this game, I've been actively avoiding playing it on my Series X and it's frustrating that I have to play it on my Xbox One. Sinc...

@xStrelok7 Do you use a custom Gamertag picture by any chance? I've seen similar outcomes when that's being used.

I’m sorry, but that answer is absurd. You can’t possibly sit here and say that’s part of the problem. EVERYONE is going to have a custom gamertag picture, how in the hell would that cause this game to crash?

    What I mean is a custom uploaded picture rather than one of the Xbox default pics to select from. I manage the sports titles and jumped in this thread to help out, I'm sorry if my response came off absurd. It's a similar issue I saw what happened in UFC which I thought could help.

    Are you using an external hard drive or have anything hooked up to the console's USB slots? Just to verify third party devices aren't at play here? (Guitar Hero Dongles caused players to get stuck at the loading screen for FIFA and some external drives caused performance issues for UFC)

      Now that you mention it, I do have a keyboard and mouse plugged in for some of the games my son plays, but no external drives or devices other than those. Could that really be what was causing the whole console to crash while playing this? I uninstalled the game out of frustration, but I’d love to be able to get back in and finish it. I’d rather they just fix the bug so I can just play my games without needing some workaround, but if this helps me finish the game I’m willing to try it.

        @COMINEEYEAHA 

        I mean, it's possible because when games are designed they're built under certain conditions and at the time Keyboard and Mice weren't available for the consoles. The keyboard and mouse may be compatible with other Xbox One games but could explain the crashing for this one.

        Let me know if you end up taking on the challenge to see if that helps, I hope it does. Sorry about the trouble though, dealing with technical issues like crashes isn't fun at all.

      @EA_Blueberry Has it been a known issue for these games to crash because of custom gamer pics? Unlike the others, I wasn't using any 3rd party accessory with my Series X, but did have a custom gamerpic.

      I haven't tested it myself as I've decided to finish the game back in my Xbox One, but I might decide to touch it again if it gets fixed on the Series X one day.

        @alamsas I've only seen the custom Gamertag pic impact UFC so far. It's possible some other games could be affected if we start to see reports. This game was designed prior to Microsoft allowing custom pics.

      I just experienced the issue now 

      I bought this game on my brother's Xbox 1 2 years ago and I uploaded onto my Xbox series X last year and I only really started playing it this week .

      Yesterday I was playing for about an hour , then the game restarted on it own and there was no sound 10 minutes before it did that.

      Today I was doing the last drift challange in the night mision story and it froze at 69 % of the race.

      I play NFS 2016 alot and clocked the game sometime I play for 3 hours and happens.

      Please help.

      I dont have anything external connected to the device ever.
